What do folks use to clean the inside (black mat and tacky) engine bonnet of the Challenge Stradale? Thanks (This is what a "Nothing But NASCAR" race weekend does to me)
You can clean it with a mild degreaser or all purpose cleaner. The Meguiars all purpose cleaner is good, especially for removing any grease based dust or residue from the entire engine bay. If you want to dress the surface, I recommend 303 Aerospace Protectant. It is a non-greasy dressing that gives a light natural shine. Just spray on a towel or sponge, wipe on, let sit, then buff off and you are good to go. IMPORTANT: never spray anything on a hot engine. Never. Do all these things when it has been sitting and it is cool.
