I know you're looking forward to revealing the CS on Saturday.... "I see you shiver with antici................................pation." [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlwnbcxBuzI[/ame]
I'm sure you would say the same about the 250 GTO. "It's just an old car"! You either get it, or you don't
Just catching up to the thread. Hey, I know that car!!! And I know it well...at least while it was in Hawaii. Nice car, sad to see it go. Rats, now we're down to 4 Strads in the islands. Stokpro I'm sure you know everything about that car, but if you don't have info on it while it was here you can PM me since you strive to gather complete info on all things Strads.
I test drove your car when it was for sale by FoSF back in 2008. You bought it from Motorcars International, right?
hopefully, no one "rats me out" until delivery....not that I bought anything or something like that...
We seem to have quite a stellar collection of Stradales here in the Northwest. Is this summer the time to get them together in one place?...
Nah, no one ratted 'you' out specifically, just the car. T-minus how many hours before you let cat out of the bag?
This one just listed and it took me a second to connect the dots... saw the aftermath of this accident and remnants of the car littered near site of the incident. It happened around Xmas time near my gym. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-360-CHALLENGE-FERRARI-360-CHALLENGE-STRADALE-2004-REPAIRABLE-REBUILDABLE-SALVAGE-/190650959868?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2c63aec7fc#ht_500wt_1182 Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was at dinner with a friend the day it happened and someone had texted him a pic of the car on its nose. It was difficult to tell from the pic if it was rosso scuderia or corsa, but going to the gym I spotted the accident site a couple days after the incident and pieces of the car indicated rosso scuderia. Both were completely coincidental. The area is still roped off and waiting repair to the railing.
I probably wouldn't have connected that car to the local accident if it weren't for identical damage between the pic I saw of the nose pile driven into the ground and the seller's pics. It also has a Ferrari of Seattle license plate frame. Just pulled up the AutoCheck history and it shows the car being registered in Seattle but the accident in Scottsdale, AZ... WTF now THAT is bizarre. <start twilight zone theme song> Image Unavailable, Please Login
Uh-huh. Are their past sales still on their website? Actually, my timing was a little off, because after MI it was trucked right back to the BA where it stayed for a while before heading to the Aloha State. Thanks for not buying the car.
I would guess Scottsdale and Seattle are pretty close to each other on some type of computer check list or menu and someone careless clicked on the wrong one.
more to be explained later....for now.... here my foray back into the abyss we call CS cult land http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xC-tb0u7MDo&feature=youtu.be
