I can appreciate that. I never rush into a purchase though. There are few enough in circulation as it is that waiting around for the "right" one is a bit of a given.
+1 Very true, we're seeing some CS's sell within a day or two (at times even just hours) of being listed. Last couple CS's at F of Newport Beach have sold very quickly, one was not even striped. Auto Gallery also had a similar situation recently in unloading their ~11k mile, rosso scuderia no stripe CS even after adjusting price UP by $15k. That CS is here and part of our local (and growing) CS club. Get 'em while you can, especially the rarer color combos.
GREAT! I remember that day quite well Here's a video I've uploaded today with some EPIC sounds of my CS (my CS is also in the video you've posted) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZbPZXnRSUg[/ame]
What more is there to want in a car? I see no reason to ever own another Ferrari except maybe an F40 or Enzo. CS is the ultimate car.
You don't need aftermarket with a CS. Not sure why anyone would do it. I got on mine tonight and it sounds like 1000 screaming babies. Just turning my car on sets off every alarm in the parking garage. My car is the loudest car in Atlanta. I guarantee it. Bone stock @#$^ [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAwaEZ_pbjw[/ame]
There are CS owners that have a Capistro exhaust system, fab speed headers, etc installed on their CS. So, it begs the question, what gains do you notice (other than noise) does an aftermarket exhaust, headers, cats, etc offer for the CS?
Yeah. I don't know why folks install aftermarket exhaust on a CS. It blows the cars value and makes the CEL come on.
Great video, one of the best sounding Ferraris ever...and what a looker! NOTHING should be changed/altered/modified on this car.
The exhaust is stock but I have a remote to manually open the valves. This system was already on my car when I bought it 2 years ago but I was told it's a Capristo remote controll.
Capistro exhaust system's "Twin Sound" on the CS seems to make a lovely loud noise when the valves are open but for 5K? 1:30 is the flyby [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXjfaKrLgpc[/ame] The statement at the end of the video say it all... http://www.streetfire.net/video/challenge-stradale-with-stage-3-capristo-exhaust_76455.htm
I dont remember the technical explanation but we had a US car and then bought a Euro car that is kept in Paris and the Euro car is much louder. I will dig on here to look for the explanation as i had asked the same question back when we ordered the US car as we wanted to be sure we would have the same sound as the Euro stradale.
possibly related to the presence of pre-cats in the headers (for Modenas.. not sure about CSs necessarily) for US versions?
Wow. If a Euro version is louder then I don't know what to say. Mine is so loud, I'm not sure I'd go to any effort to make it louder. It's already unreasonable.
I'm running the tubi NGT on mine, its a fraction the size but honestly sounds the same. Or maybe I'm just going deaf!!
