It matches the tunnel in the floor as well as the e-brake boot so I doubt it's faded as it all appears to match.
Mike, Your doing a fine job. Keep up the great work. We all appreciate the work you and Andrew do for the Stradale enthusiast.
Cant wait to get home to drive mine. Wonder if I can find someone in Vegas to, A: drive my car so I can film the it and get a sound clip of the catless exhaust or B: find someone to go cruising with who can have a passenger film the car. Anybody? Heading to Disney and Long Beach, CA for 11 days in the beginning of april. Would love to drive the CS but am nervous about leaving it outside, unattended. Anybody live in the LB area have any thoughts?
Mine shows a touch of patina on the dash - I know people pay more for that in regards to lots of collectibles
That's just the starting bid. There's a reserve. Nice work! I'll let you know if I see anything else that doesn't appear right. The RC w/ stripe CS you were looking at sold. Did you pop it?
Yep, exactly! Here are couple more pics for comparison. Seats are black alcantara while dash, transmission tunnel and e-brake boot are grey. That's just the default color of those part. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's no "so faded". The default alcantara dash is not black nor "very dark grey". Now this is what you can call faded... notice the splotching? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ahhh...silly me, I see the BIN of $151,000...still pretty fair ask these days...it would be something to have a color array of CS's in one's garage to choose from to drive...that would be awesome!
8 owners in 9 years...Last stop was HI.I bet its got more time being transported than actual rolling miles,lol....
Classic example of the autocheck, carfax "calculated owners" being misleading. I highly doubt there have been 8 "end users" of the car. It did get passed around to a few dealers back in 2008 and perhaps other times too, but its near impossible to tell how many end-users had the car.
Not me. I'm in contract on a real estate venture waiting on engineers report. The last week I have been bombarded by dealers with cars I called about in the past month or so (a few CS's, Scuds and F430's). Dealers lowering prices. A few of the Stradales are really temping but not exactly what I'm ultimately looking for. I would hate to let the summer go by without a CS. I may start somewhere to get feet wet then trade up next year to the car I really want. I can't believe the falling prices of the Scuderia's. Both markets are really close right now. Top of one is getting equal to bottom of the other. Crazy.
Actually, top and bottom are well over-lapped at this point. A few higher mileage 08 scuds have traded below 170 and a very few of the best preserved CS's have traded north of 170 recently...still average-to-average Scud is ~40k higher (say 140 to 180?), but Scud also a 4-5 year newer car. Can't go wrong with either one...I often think about getting a Scud after the CS. Good choices!
I got a good idea Dave. Sell me your CS, buy the Scud and next year we'll do another swap and I'll sell your car back if you get sick of the Scud LOL. It Would be nice to own them both too.
Yeh right. I'm going to pull it out of the garage tomorrow and give it some 'rolling miles' exercise. Definitely misleading. 4 owners. 1st and last (current) owner is one in the same.

Everyday I think about this. Usually give up when I comeback to Fchat and read up on all the people still loving the CS.
Mine looks the same way; although your pic appears to have more contrast. Could be just the lighting though.
Yep, it's argento nurburgring. Last (publicly) for sale in '06 w/ 2800mi for $206k. Wow, 3 silver CS's currently for sale. We typically only see 1 or 2 for sale at any given time. You're right, the camera flash creates more contrast and makes the dash appear lighter than it actually is.
I think about the opposite often , I am going to test drive a CS soon and compare it to my Scud and see whats all this hype about. I am expecting the CS to be fantastic! There is a blue car coming for sale in my area , cant wait to test drive it.

Let us know what you find. The cars are so similar, the CS sounds better and many would say looks a bit better, the scud is much faster in a straight line and around curves and has a better gear box. A few f-chatters have owned both (some own both at the same time) but for me it's an either or since they fill the same role in my garage and thus I'd struggle to drive them both. I cannot believe what I witnessed today at local Porsche dealer while meeting a friend for lunch. A gentleman traded in a black 2004 360 Challenge Stradale on a new Cayenne. Not only was the trade-in price a shock, but the car sold immediately for what has to be the lowest transaction on a unwrecked, local Canadian CS I have ever even heard of. Clutch readout was at 30%, but even if that work order was done across the street at the authorized Ferrari dealer, you'd come out at LEAST $20k below what these are selling for in comparable condition. Unbelievable. Absolutely has to be the deal of the year on a modern Ferrari.
