that's $300,000 US Dollars. Seems high (but I don't really know the Ferrari market in the UK)
    nevertheless, nice clean car

Thanks Tony! Wow, that's serious cheddar. I know that's "asking" price, but any idea on actual transaction prices?

    Hello, You called?

Prices in the UK have risen sharply in the last 12 months. Ranging now from £140k-£200k for RHD examples.

Quick "Thank You" to Alan and (Stokpro, Andrew) for making the purchase a very pleasant experience! Andrew was very quick and efficient at finding me a great car and seller. Its so very nice to deal with friendly knowledgeable people! The CS is on its way and I am excited to make part of our collection!

I have two stradales that I purchased new in 2004. Maybe I have too much spare time on my hands, or maybe I'm just looking for a change. But I'm considering trading in my stradales (along with a surprisingly large pile of cash) to get a 458 Speciale. Please talk some sense into me. LOL. Seriously.

Don't do it!!! (or at least wait until I'm ready to buy one of them from you :) )

Seriously though, I can't imagine any other modern car being as special as the CS and they seem to be getting more and more special as time goes on.

I agree. And the 458 Speciale isn't the best looking ferrari either...yes, it's the most kick-ass 8 cylinder ferrari ever made (ferrari's words not mine :) but it's also $300K (plus at least another $20K in necessary options) give or take!!!

Trade both plus a large pile of cash...no!

Seriously...one owner CS is a rare and valuable thing...how many miles are on your CS's? (Edit I saw your post re miles in the tire thread).

And paying a premium to sticker for a new Ferrari? No again.

It's bad enough having to trade two stradales for one Speciale, but the additional "large pile of cash" adds insult to injury. LOL

Each Stradale has 17,000 miles and are well taken care of :)

That's great that you are able to put in 34k miles between the two CS. I have a friend that is interested in a red CS although he just traded in his 430 for a 16M. Which one are you considering selling?

Not to derail the CS topic but modestly spec'd Specialé for 300k? nope, not really...

With just the basic carbon options (that came standard on a scuderia) and other "standard items" like cavallino in headrest etc, and in non-specialé paint color my spec came out to $387 USD...

here's the price list that's floating around fchat. i've been exchanging emails with my dealer trying to make a deal to get an allocation for a special, and these prices seem to be good.

here's the configuration i was shooting for:
(I think the audio system, sat radio and navigation are "standard" in US so included in base price).

    $294,350 plus $19,000 in options
    $313,000 total plus taxes, etc.

    List of options:
N/C standard seats black with red inserts size "Large"
N/C Red Cavallino embroidered on headrest
    N/C Rosso Scuderia paint
N/C radio, nav (i think it's no charge)
    $1,488 Rosso Scuderia brake calipers
    $11,811 NART stripe
    N/C ferrari shields
    N/C Yellow tach face
    N/C Black seat belts
    $590 Red "Special Stitching"
    $4,049 CF side sill fins
    $927 Fire extinguisher
    N/C Driver seat adjustment device
    $19,000 in options
