Though I guess it was actually Vicki's Fifth Gear review that introduced me to the CS back in 2003? Uploaded in HD two years ago, with great sound too, but it doesn't capture the lower frequencies like that French video, which makes that one unique. As much as I love to hear it scream, most CS videos can be a bit ear-grating, the Fifth Gear video is no exception.
New listing on BAT. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-ferrari-360-challenge-stradale-33 10k miles Argento Nurburgring Manual Conversion Should be interesting!
Yes that’s the sound but amplified off the walls etc. Loved it but think the high wail of 355 top down is better
Being a fan of five valves the 355 is obviously also one of my favorites, but where the 355 has perhaps more 'musical' qualities, of which you can be the maestro with the manual gearbox, the 360 CS wins it for me with the aggression, especially on the downshifts.
Imagine our annoyance when Goldmember had a botched German accent throughout the whole movie, not Dutch at all. But hey, I said: oh lord, won't you buy me a Challenge Stradale, and here is Some Guy in the sky to answer my prayer!
I really enjoy my CS, but there are some V12s which can compete: On second thought: I guess the fact that we have to look at V12 race cars to find something that might sound equally well, is a testament to how extraordinary the CS really is.
Looks like it has some dings or dents, but could just be bad lighting. What is going on here. Did they use a filter? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Someone pointed out this, too - looks kind of like a dent, but maybe it's the shadow of the person taking the picture? Would be nice for the seller to clarify whether there is any body damage. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Considering all the minor issues, I am surprised to see this thing at 260k. What are everyone's thoughts on manual conversions and resale? Does a manual conversion increase resale?
I actually like the F1. Its become part of the persona of the car. I have a few manuals and I enjoy the flappy paddles.
IT does not affect the value, recent sales have showed that, it’s a preference IMO. I do think there’s small percentage of buyers who will in fact pay extra for manual converter car.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-ferrari-360-challenge-stradale-33/#comments-anchor 282k Reserve not met. That is high for a car which isnt original. The intakes can be found, but the lower portion of the factory carbon airbox is rare. Aftermarket copies of the upper covers are available. Seller did a horrible job with listing IMO. Impressive amount all things considered. Seems like prices are slowly creeping up.
Horrible, how? The polarized pics that cast weird shadows resembling body damage didn't help but were addressed. I'd say the missing panels/aftermarket airboxes, and I'd venture to guess the silver paint (rare in a CS, yes. Desirable? Nope) all didn't help.
Yep. The car would have gotten way more if it was presented better, wasn't missing parts, had functioning AC and still had all the original parts to be included with the car. Sometimes I'm amazed at the way some sellers sell cars on BAT.
