Means a lot coming from u who has it all!
That good the cs ? How is superior than a scud? Is it just the sound? Can one overcome the gearbox lag easily?

Was just commenting on the 499-16M's.
Amazing that the CS is better than both the Scud and 16m for you..very cool to hear. I have had a CS and Scud and felt the CS was more fun but...16M?

Its the x factor, the total feeling it gives me from seeing it, starting it, and putting it away.

    That makes sense.
Amazing Scuds are less than CS's in many cases

16M. Because it's the one I've yet to own.

Relevant to your question, and in consideration of the full range of lightweight Ferrari V8s (CS, Scuderia, Speciale, Pista), Chris Harris would pick the Scud (skip ahead to 5:30):

Would love a 16M, but would have to borrow too much for it to be a sound financial decision. Setting aside investment value, the Scuderia has so much more to offer over a CS.

A fun filled search would answer all your questions....just a couple of months ago, a bunch of us came up with a nice long list.

I chose the Scud to me it is the best looking and just sounds fantastic the transmission is tremendous... I have had two sold the first and decided I wanted another.. I considered the 16M but just like the coupe better from a looks standpoint
really considered the CS but like the scud so much better...personally

How do you find the cars F1 shifting, I’ve only driven a 360 and it was really bad. Did Ferrari improve it with the Stradale?

The shifting question is a bit lopsided. Stradale shifts in 150 milliseconds. I think that is plenty quick. Can I shift faster than that? Yes, yes I can. But 75% of the rest of the world can't.

The Scud etc do shift faster... But so what? Never once have I been embarrassed by a 150 millisecond shift.

A lot of folks, including myself don’t particularly like the front head lunges at every shift in the cs.

Scuds are just right; don’t get the lag lunge but just a nice kick to the back of the head. It’s addictive.

I owned a cs parallel to my scud, the quantitative difference might sound minuscule but the qualitative, visceral difference is HUGE.

What year 360 did you drive? Ferrari improved the shifting significantly around late 2003 I believe, with new TCU software.

Just going from sport mode to race mode shift in a Scud is already a difference between “ok” and “wow.” It’s the way it feels, sounds, and responds when it grabs onto a ton of power that makes it exhilarating. It’s not the quantitative speed that matters.

So, from the response it seems like the 16m is fine however most preferred the Scud above all

Nah if u ran a poll or find the old ones cs wins by a wide margin

There’s fatigue around the debate so no one is participating in this thread
