Has anyone with the racing exhaust (either on the CS or as a relatively new 360 option) detached and plugged the vacuum lines to allow it full voice at below-racing revs? I'm trying it out but find it almost too loud. I'm wondering what experience others have had. Thanks.

i did it on my CS and after 2 days, put it back to original. I felt it was attracting attention i didnt need (POLICE) at normal operating speeds...

On top of which, I have a Spyder so there's no sound reduction from rear window and roof. On the other hand, it does sound great. Not the accustomed Ferrari scream; more a gravelly growl like the old Ford GT40 (as seen and heard in the movie A Man and a Woman. A close call.

Well, above 6k, do you still get Ferrari 360 scream?

With only a few miles on the car and wintery roads, I haven't been above 6k revs yet.

the CS exhaust sounds like an old boat at idle and low revs with the vacuum lines removed and plugged. i tried it on one of my stradales, but quickly put it back to normal. i have heard a stradale with a tubi NGT exhaust, and it sounds good. it has more volume and a lower tone at idle and low revs. one alternative that i would like to hear is a stradale with the stock exhust but with hyper-flow cats instead of the stock cats. a friend of mine heard a stradale with this configuration and he said it sounded really good. but i'd want to hear it myself before making a decision. most likely i'll stay with the stock set up. it's a bit thin at idle and low revs, but it sounds great at high revs :)
