    Researching new tires for CS. Thinking MPSS. Trying to decide between going 225/285 and 235/285. In reading through the archives seems like a number of folks have 235/285 and indicated that it dials out some of the understeer. Any disadvantages to going with the slightly wider tire in front, any rubbing or odd traction control \ ABS behavior?

    235/285's on mine..


    zero issues!!!

    when mounting... they need to sit fronts in the sun for a bit to soften up!! as it is/was a bit more difficult getting them on rim!!

    performance wise..NO issue.. no rubbing etc..

    Michelin Pilot Super Sport are great tires but don't really compare to the original Pirelli PZERO Corsas unless you go with the Super Sport Cup II that were just release.
    Another option with a similar compound are the R888 as they have lots of grip and do last a few miles.
    The 235 front were seen on the Scuderias, it does help with the understeer; now for the first time Ferrari went with 245 on the front of the Speciale.

    Quick trip to the garage shows 235/285 for me as well. I'm running Bridgestone RE-11's, do a little research on them, great tire and had the same on my last CS as well.

    I do have the Michelin Pilot Super Sports (225 front) on my CS an cannot feel much difference to the original Corsas - even on European race tracks... and the price is less than 50% of the Pirellis!

    get the 235 fronts...I've yet to see anyone do so and complain.

    MPSS are good choice. As are RE-11.

    I found that the Pirelli Trofeo R is also available in the 235/285 sizes. Am I crazy to consider this tire for a vehicle that will see 95% of its use on the street?

    I have trofeo tires on my Scud and CS and I love them, very sticky and less expensive than original corsas.

    Those Pirellis have a wear rating of 60, about like an art eraser. The MPSS wear rating is 300. For a CS that will be driven on the street, and possibly in the rain, the Michelins are a much better deal.

    I hear what you're saying and it's clear to me that the MPSS is a better value, but a Corvette is a better value than a Ferrari. :)

    I didn't realize the treadwear rating was that low, but it looks like the Pirelli Corsa tire is also rated 60 and people seem to get 5k-7k miles on the street pretty easily out of them which isn't awful.

    I know people who got less out of their corsa's...tires are a rounding error in terms of TCO on these cars, get the ones you want!

    Don't dismiss RE-11...

    Love RE-11; MPSS good too. Avoid Corsas.
