Just out of curiosity, does your charger start at "No 3" every time you plug it in? Every time I come back from a drive and plug the MXS5.0 in, its down to "3", but is always back up to "7" when I come back to the car in a few hours. Just wondering what yours is like Thanks
Yes mine goes straight to No3, i suppose if the plates were sulphated it would detect that and start on No1
Thanks Mike. Reason I ask is I watched a review of the MXS5.0 on youtube and when the reviewer plugged it into his car (was a hyundai or something) it went straight to 4, so was wondering if my battery wasn't holding charge well or something, but if yours goes to 3 as well, then I guess it may be normal
Most battery charges I have owned, seem to start high and then sense that is too much and work there way back down lowering the charge until it is full. My dealers have always told me to leave the car on charge all the time.
Yes As far as I know bulk charge is no 3, then no 4 is a reduced charge rate as the battery is better charged (more than 80% charged) and then 7 is fully charged, whilst 8 is maintenance mode which takes place after being plugged in for a few days
