I asked the same question and received the same answer. I wonder if a new version is coming.

Any thoughts on Bridgestone RE-71RS? 235/35 and 285/35 seem available in the States. They are a bit wider treadwidth per TireRack measurements so that might be nice vs the Cup2s or PS4S too

I just got a new set of Cup 2R's installed on my Scud in 235-35/19 and 285-35/19. Sourced through America's Tire but they had to pull from multiple locations.

What problems have you experienced with a 430 Scuderia E-diff with R compound tires? I had Trofeo Rs before and had no issues.

I can’t speak to the RS, but I had Re71r and they were the most uncomfortable tire I had, worse than old run flats.
So glad to be rid of those tires…awful.

I havent had issues myself but i had read somewhere that this is the reason the dont use e diff in f430 challenge cars
As apparently it wrecks the insides after a bit (the clutches in the ediff)
I wish i kept the doc or post
I am by no means an expert on the matter but i am sure that if u regularly track it and if u have r compound tires it will cause issues

But probably a bit like people saying 235 tires wont affect ediff when we know it does

Getting good tires in even moderately uncommon sizes has become quite tedious. And the 'default' tires which are more easily available offer the grip level of a well lubed rock.
