Curious about certain costs...

Sir, I yield to your expertise. I realize now that I'm slow and possibly even incompetent. The fact that I am a one-armed blind monkey notwithstanding. You have shown me the light, and I thank you.

 

I think it's fair to say the time will vary. You stated yourself that it took you an entire day to get your exhaust bolted up after installing rebuilt headers.

Not that everyone will have this issue but just an example of how it's not just 1-2hrs cut and dry, there are variables.

As mentioned, possible stripped/cross threaded fastener issues from previous techs, fitment issues with new parts, cleaning while you are in there/etc)

Needs to be considered on a case to case basis.

 

Randy, Bruce and Mitch......Dont get all tangled up in the internet type. If you guys were all in the same garage discussing this same thing while having a beer, you would laugh at this stuff. There is a lot lost in translation when reading type on here. Relax and remember that wether it takes 3 minutes or 10 to blow your load....you will all be happy when your done.

 

I know enough to push away from the poker table, and call it a night.

 

But what if the hooker is charging me by the minute and it only takes me 3 but she still charges me for 10?

 

They charge by the book Whether it takes you 3 min or 1 hour, same price lol
