Don’t waste your time or money………

It’s a socket with 10-12 wires coming out of it. The circuit board (key) joins two of the wires to complete the circuit. All the other wires are just dummies connected, but open.

Years ago I purchased a used car with this miracle product installed.

They offered it for the low, low price of $495.

I passed.. They kept insisting, stating that no one could start your car unless the hidden circuit board “key” was installed.

I said I would take my chances & please remove it.

Well, all they did was basically take the circuit board card & break the end off flush in the socket so it couldn’t be removed.

    What a joke!!!!

Looks impressive to the layman, but anybody with a smidgen of electrical knowledge could defeat it in 60 seconds.

I pulled mine off & returned to the car lot the next day. I handed the jumble of wires to the salesman.

He sounded concerned, asking if I was still able to start my car with it removed……

I told him after looking under the dash at all the wires coming from the socket. I only found one original wire cut & spiced into. All the others were just wrapped & taped to other wires, but not cut & spliced.

I just reconnected the wire they had cut back together.

thanks for the info. and as the saying goes, if it is too good to be true, it may well be. the website also claims:

"Not one vehicle ever STOLEN by defeating a properly installed and utilized Ravelco!"

I guess it is designed to make it just a bit harder for thief when it comes to Gone in 60 seconds scenario hahaha

That claim sounds like it's probably full of holes if the thing is so easy to work around?
