Where is brad williams with his "prices are going to fall" any day comments and telling us all to keep waiting ? Clearly many don't have 165 to spend on this car which is fine, you are free to buy something else if you so desire for 165.
I have a 2 owner 1985 Flying Mirror car with 6K miles, red/tan, recent major full service and in mint condition. Recently I have received offers of almost $200K which I have turned down. If you figure $30K for a full service and unexpected issues you are about about $190K. I think the car is priced right.
yep, thats the one. Down the street from me. No service done since 99. but in mint condition.less service. It is a time capsule......for me bad.....collector maybe good.
I do not want the car....I can inspect it for anyone interested......I think it's a very nice car but over priced.
put your money where your mouth is boys! That car has been listed and relisted for a long time, the seller will take less than 140k and has not had a real buyer. He has had lowballs by now from every dealer and speculator with half a brain. nice old guy and answers the phone which is more than most. if the market was actually in a frenzy the car would be gone.
Does a major service (of a running car) cost so much there? I'm just curious. Here is almost impossibile to go over 15 k euro (less than 17 K USD) even if you want to do everything (but really everything, it's almost a restore) I'm just curious, I don't want to say it isn't true! ciao
when you upgrade during the major service also the diff and the CP then you pay this amount, even more
You can easily spend over $20k , Major Service, Diff upgrade, while you there, you might as well powder coat, cadmium plate, replace seals, hoses, Calipers, Clutch, Fuse box, and the list goes on...etc... etc....ask me how I know .... (and the we do the work....can't imagine how much it would cost if we gave it to a Ferrari Mechanic....)
here is 12-13 k with the diff upgrade (1,5-2 k euro just the upgrade). And price includes a 22% VAT ciao
My opinion (just an opinion, of course) is that overseas you pay twice as here. CP stands for? Thanks ciao
CP: crown-pinion right, but an "official F-mechanic" will never do this, because nearly no customer will pay this amount - even it looks great after all is done
This car was in Ferrari park ave. showroom last month..I was told it sold at Ferrari of central NJ for $300,000. 1993 Used Ferrari 512TR at Ferrari of Central New Jersey Serving New York, NYC, Manhattan, NJ, IID 14068587 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/boxers-tr-m/503146-512tr-park-ave-ferrari-nyc.html
Who was it that told you? Same person that told you it was not for sale and there is a new Testarossa coming?
Contractually...Ferrari of Park ave..CAN NOT SELL FERRARI's They can only direct you to dealers in the network. I believe it was sold when I posted my link a few weeks ago So this car had belonged to FOCNJ and they took it back last week to deliver it. And Yes..same guy who told me look for the TR name to come back.. Is that OK with you??
that came off rude, I actually did not intend it rudely but more sarcastically because your source is flawed, in fact that car is still there and available.
"Pat" over there is getting me more detailed info on the car. He is a Terrific guy. As for the new Testarossa, that would be ok with me!
MORE Testa's now UNDER K€100 ! Values are definitively dropping in the Continent ... and imo: that's not bad ... In total are over 160 Testa's sold here .... Ferrari Testarossa non catalizzata- Service Book- cerchi lega 17" http://www.autoscout24.com/results?atype=C&mmvmk0=27&mmvmd0=1734&ustate=N%2CU&ipc=home:searchbox&ipl=button
Yes, prices have dropped. I know of three TRs that sold for between 90k to 120k, depending on condition and mileage.
I'm even seeing that in the states to a certain degree. I've been on the hunt for a flying mirror and a 512TR for some time now and glad I've been patient in my attempt to find the "right" one for me.
