Speculate all you wish, clear evidence prevails that the market has already spoken on any of the Enzo period cars and isn't listening to anything but offers from buyers wanting them.
you posted here at 11:23am eastern and then you created a new thread at 11:25am with the same title. Maybe I'm not understanding how these boards work or what your 2 posts were inquiring. So can you help me? In 120 seconds you make 2 posts about 50K TRs. To anyone with a 5th grade reading level that's rather specific I wld say. You cld have posted in the general forum or in one of the other 3 auction threads or one of the other 50 bubble threads but instead you came to the TR subforum and post that twice. In your sister thread you go on to state you weren't a buyer of TRs at 50k and you aren't a buyer at 150K so what are you doing posting that here? you don't have skin in the game. You aren't a buyer and haven't been one. So are you trolling? Or did we misinterpret your post? were you in fact trying to engage in a debate regarding geopolitical issues? interest rate forecast for the rest of 2016?
You are very angry. If I'm interested in the car (although I wouldn't buy) why wouldn't I be able to post here with out you getting all upset? Without you trying to insult me? Is this your form only? You act like a spoiled little girl when someone disagrees with you. But I'm glad you took your time to debate this. I hope you have a good weekend. Chill out don't want you to have a heart attack or something. Very angry... Wow.
not angry at all - just trying to address your topic and understand - why don't you trying articulating what you wanted to debate? what responses were you hoping for? you are avoiding discussing facts and recent data points aren't you?
Haven't avoided any facts. Prices have went up the last few years. I think now at this point the have reached there ceiling and will retract. Probably not to 4 years ago but I think they will come back down. I do not believe many estimates were hit in any markets based on what I have seen. Investors are in it to try to sell for a profit, if they have the cars too long they will sell for less to move the inventory.. A lot of no sales at big money prices mean people are in at this or last years prices and they are not in the money at the lower than reserve amounts.. I think this will lower not only TR but also 328, 308s as well as all these 911 Porsches that are going for super high prices. Hope that clarifies what I am suggesting. I'm I right? I don't know, time will tell. Are you right? Same thing, so act accordingly.
again estimates are irrelevant I thought the TRs that traded looked healthy I'm not a seller at any price
It tells us that a sell of a TR was made at an ever increasing dollar figure and will be recorded. That tells me a lot. Glass half full...
Auctions can be a double edge sword.. People forget mileage of big sale cars...and remember the final price only in 6 months for Auctions.. that creates a benchmark for other low mileage and middle mileage cars to plateau on. IMO...this shows 512TR is still on the cutting side of the sword.. As opposed to the american super hemis and chargers , which are on the ripping side of the sword. Drink Champagne on the cutting side and Down Tranquilizers on the ripping side... But have fun Driving inbetween.!
Ferrari of Quebec sells often, they have their finger in the market, as all the other Ferrari dealers. This is another strong data point of a car that will most likely sell. Used FERRARI Testarossa in Montreal CA
Send me a PM when the prices hit $50k. I'm good for adding two more at that price. Oh, and also PM me when you see a Lamborghini Countach listed at $50k. And don't send me links to the replicas, please. Much thanks in advance! Sent by incredibly fast electrons
The recent price increase has been driven by speculators and dealers only. The result is inventory growing and no sales. It's not surprise prices are now tanking. The same has happened or is happening, to different extents, to most other similar period f-cars. People are still not ready to pay hundreds of thousand dollars for a TR. Maybe it will come that day, but it's not that day yet today.
I have had firm unsolicited cash offers for my 86 RHD TR of A$280k last November and A$300k just last week. Both were from collectors and the car INS'T listed for sale. Doesn't look like dealers and speculators down-under. In any case the Dino's, 308's and 328's are similarly escalating and in the case of TR's have only just approached original purchase values paid near 30 years ago. Where is the surprise in current prices? $50k for a "parts" car - maybe sure. A proper no-issues car - no.
Thats great news if you own one of these rare birds and no one should be surprised. I think people are starting to realize there are probably less than 1000 of these cars left in existence. As mentioned in a previous post there are a few for sale here in Canada with an asking price sub 200k cdn dollars, I'm surprised an american dealer has not snapped these up considering the value of their dollar.
