I knew exactly the car you were going to post before clicking on the link. 'Gotta be that overprice IAG Green TR.' The tested the market and nobody bit. The only way to sell that car is to factor in the price of a high level respray.......and do it! Somebody lost a bet and the punishment was to have their TR ordered in metallic green.
I know testarossas fell in value just like all other cars the last year... but are you guys saying they fell by 40%??? I would think a car with 10,000 miles is still 130-140... They were asking 200k+ for these 6 months ago...
Sorry, think I read your post too quickly - believe now we were saying the same thing. These cars are absolutely misprinted and end up staying forever for sale. Just not realistic.. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Only 24 on eBay And 38 on Hemmings Some duplicates I'm sure, but, take your pick. 95% are offered by dealers.
Private sale cars are on the rise as of late. 6 months ago the listings were 99.9 percent dealers on the vintage stuff. A private sale 80s car stuck out like a sore thumb! The number of cars for sale always go down over winter. The number rose and rose all summer. There were over 700 cars on ebay at the peak of the summer. The levered up owners better unload pre-winter. Spring is a long ways away, and values can change BIG TIME between now and then. The bottom is still along ways away by the looks of it.
I wonder how many buyers will have the allocated funds to pounce this winter, after the prev buying frenzy and holiday drain.
I still think with this many cars to choose from, theres huge room to drop. Even the black 512 is down to 150 fro. 205...with no bites. Ouch.
Asking 200k and they are still for sale...people can ask whatever they want, it doesnt mean they are living in reality. I did have that at 105k+ for a reason though. Sub 10k mile cars can bring crazy dollars so I left it open ended with the + sign. But to put it in perspective there is a 91 IAG car with under 18k miles in the classifieds right now for $95k. Been listed for a few weeks.
A few months, actually. I called about that car two months ago, might look into it again at the reduced price, but I'd LOVE to have Euro spec :/ No mouse belts.
We have a superb EU 91 TR already upgraded Forza diff and new full service for KE 90 also. (Only) reason for sale is divorce ....
Prices are set to go higher in longterm. Just wait as interest rates rise more and more. When stocks and bonds go down, where do you think all the cash will go??? I am looking at various cars but fear prices will drop a bit more in next couple months before they go up again and with winter here, I will wait for spring. No rush.
This statement is 100 percent speculation. Markets are cyclical. The classic car bubble/boom came and went, cycle is coming to an end. The last one this big occured 27 years ago. Could the money go back into such a market during a recession? Perhaps. But not likely according to historical trends.
no rush - ok, but even with no rush it would be good to fill out your profile and introduce yourself a little. this will help you and also the other members here
Martin's car sold, which is too bad. Still working on correcting what went sour on my end. Unless you talk about another car
People realized how special manual cars are and now that they have they wanted to buy them. They are like fine art. Nobody is gonna tell me a TR is not at least as good as most of those paintings of stripes and circles that go for $$$$$ Of course not as many people buy when it is cold now.
Owwww ... I was not aware of that Matt ... Good search, ...plenty of TRs for sale around K$100 ! http://fahrzeuge.autoscout24.de/?atype=C&make=27&mmvco=1&model=1734&mmvmk0=27&mmvmd0=1734&fregfrom=1989&cy=D&ustate=N%2CU&sort=threetier%2Cprice&dtr=s Keep us here updated please ...
Oh man, you're on your own! LOL I heard wine is now a great investment as well. Check into it brah. Cheers!
+1 When markets crash, one is left with a good way to drown sorrows... Pass the fiddle, we'll drink wine and watch the economic meltdown. Cheers, Vincenzo
Cant trust Ebay listings. Same seller has That car relisted again and they are asking 155K "gasp" another confused speculator. 1986 Ferrari Testarossa | eBay
86 with 10k miles? Does seem like a speculator. Cheapest one available, I know of an 85 with 45k miles just traded for 140k. I know the seller and buyer personally.
