Regretfully, Caribbean Spanish (pidgin, Creole, etc.) is well taught at school, problem it is not spoken very well, and print even worse Even our Central American Spanish is full of spelling mistakes, so no arguments there. Dominicans, and Puerto Ricans, when they talk the say "elle" for "erre". Wrong sources Michael, next time try RAE. Your first box has different spelling (errors) than the 2nd one. If you spell a C as a G, then how do you spell a G? as a C, really? By the way, colección, has an accent on the second "o"... indeed small "consolación" Regards, Alberto I.E. You misunderstood my statement. I was talking about The font…that’s the art of that letters shape.. looks like a g…, but it is a C… not the pronunciation. Rest assured , the spelling will not effect the incredible flavoring assets and optimum capability of storing fine cigars for extended periods of time in this box.
Image Unavailable, Please Login At the time my humidors were happening between the years 1997 and 2002.. I became friends with Marvin Shanken.. Owner, Editor, CEO and event coordinator for Cigar Aficionado. Marvin invited me to many smoke events as I ended up having 3 different humidors spotlighted in his magazine. A Ferrari themed box, a Harley Davidson theme and this Cuban themed box. My Aerator product was also advertised in his mag..I had Marvin’s blessings! Like I said.. It was a fun time! That’s Marvin on Right at some smoke festival! These boxes are no toys.
I went to many CA and other cigar events in south Florida in the ‘90s. They were always a lot of fun. I spent a lot of time…and money!…in some of the factories in Littke Havana, particularly La Gloria Cubana, Ernesto Carillo. I got to know Ferdie Pacheco at a Spanish restaurant called Malaga. Sadly it’s been replaced by a parking lot. Much of the Cuban flavor of Little Havana has been lost as Cubans became prosperous and moved to Coral Gables and the suburbs, and South Americans moved in.
Just to clear the air on this thread..This Last Box is available.... shipped in the continental USA...$1050.00 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Please don't forget the Central Americans But only the West Coast... I'm going Up I-95... Regards, Alberto
Michael, I just opened your package. Humidor #007 is spectacular in person. If I did not already have one, I would definitely purchase this one. Thanks again and good luck with the sale.
SOLD! thats 2 boxes of my Cuban Cigar Story humidors sold to 2 Lucky members here! I have 2 more that are the same humidor only painted in Rosso Corsa..with decoration. With Ferrari themes.. I will post pics this weekend, I doubt whether I will part with them though!
Whew, no more temptation. Looks like a beautiful humidor. I worked at a tobacconist while in college through the cigar boom of the mid-90s...fun times they were, went to lots of cigar dinners, etc. Recently got back into cigars in a small way, so that humidor was more than I needed...but I still wanted Sounds like it, and the other one, went to good homes.
Since only Cigar guys are watching this... I am posting this humidor just because it is my all time favorite! Still new old stock, I keep it in my garage, and tell people it is a Ferrari gran prix toolbox. Since I owned 4 testarossa's in a row..I dedicated this box to the TR. At the moment it is not for sale. I do have another very similar to this..however not Ferrari themed, might be for sale! Congrats to the buyers of my first 2 boxes , hopefully they will chime in , in a few weeks and agree that they have the best non mechanical humidor ever made! Enjoy the pics! I think that shield is mounted in the wrong spot. Saw one at a coucours where it was over about 2" from where yours is and they guy said he bought it brand new. Oh, and the Ferrari script should be about 1/4" lower too. Another cool piece, I seem to remember you posting pics of these years ago somewhere on here.
Thanks! In My World of design, the balance comes from asymmetry ...Its too easy to put the shield in the middle... The script , appears top heavy because of the extended F ....but aligns well with the 2 handles to lift lid. any discrepancies disappear when you lift the lid a take a whiff of the cedar inside of the box...In a cigar smokers world...Ahhhh its Nirvana!
The others weren’t quite my style but that Ferrari toolbox is fantastic! Let me know if you decide to part ways.
Mine now, just arrived today. This thing is way bigger and heavier than I expected. Super cool piece. Now, I am tasked with filling it up. Thanks Michael.
Hi , sorry I just read this thread . I am very interested by a Cuban style cigar box if you still have one . Thank you .
