    That looks amazing!

I don't know how you managed to get the matching leather. I ordered a hide direct from my Ferrari Dealer and it didn't match the grain at all. I also tried two other sources.

Can you please take some pics of the tweeters and where they were installed?

Where are you based? If the uk I can point you in the right direction of a top quality place.

What colour hide are you trying to match? Black should be very easy, it is only when you get to tan and cream it may get more difficult.

In the case of my instal the hides do not come from Ferrari rather a uk tannery. It is a perfect match but as said black is easy. The alcantara and stitch are a perfect match too.

The tweeters go behind your head. You will see the grills if you look behind the seat. The mid range comes from the door then you need a sub for the base.

I got my system made without putting any drill holes in to the car at all. The reason why I positioned the amps behind the seats rather the boot. This way I can remove when I sell the car and put in to the next 458 or replacement. If I go for a different colour interior I can wrap the casings in another hide. Simples :)

Well I have been enjoying my new audio system for about 60 hours so far. Before I give you all my thoughts, let me give a big special thanks to Woppum who helped me source the matching leather.

    Here are my thoughts:
    - The install is just perfect and looks factory. I had red alcantara collars, but changed them to black to keep it more stealth and oem looking. I highly recommend Sonic Frontiers for all high end audio work. The seat has full range of movement and one wouldnt even know it was anything other factory unless they looked hard.

    - The system has great dynamic range and imaging... It is far better than the Ferrari JBL system.

    - Relocating the tweeters to the front and housing them in custom angled pillars is well worth the time and money. It makes all the difference to the imaging and creating a proper front sound stage.

    - The bass is MENTAL... for those who like deep clean bass this is the sub for you... For those who like serious deep pounding bass, this sub is for you... For those who like smooth crisp bass, this sub is for you, just set it to about -10 on the bit one ;-). The JL 13TW is just plane amazing for the depth it needs.

    - There is much more road noise in the 458 than my Bentley GT which had an audiophile system installed. Because of the amount of road and engine noise, I would advise anyone looking to buy a serious audio system not to go overboard. What I have done is more than enough and sounds great.

Anyways thanks again to all those who helped me on this journey. I am over the moon.

Here is the final spec in case any of you wish to build something similar in your cars. If you do post here and I will help with any questions.

JL HD900/5 - I have had much better amps, but if space and weight is important go for this. It is an amazing small digital amp. If you don't mind taking up some trunk space go for the Audison Voce.

Tweeters - Morel MT24 Limited Edition Tweeters

Mids - Morel 6.5 limited edition carbon fibre mids

    Sub - 13 inch JL 13TW sub

Hello, do any of you have the exact measurements of the 458 Spider door speakers and back speakers that come with the base stereo?

Also would like to have an idea of the wattage of the stock stereo as I am thinking of just upgrading the speakers in order to not have any warranty issues.
