This is a little styling exercise I did on Fujimi's F430 1/24 plastic kit.

I never liked the 'shark nose' openings on the 430 much so I reshaped them. I also reshaped the side windows to mimic the flow of the air scoops on the haunches. Lastly, I lowered the tail lights.

The body color is a mix of Lambo's Giallo Spyder and Ferrari's Verde Chiaro Metallic. The interior is a mix of Acryl's Sloth Brown and Canine Brown, the black is Dragon Black.

The wheels are Fujimi's 430 challenge painted black.

Really nice and clean work. Altho awkward, I like the color combo. You are an experienced model as it can be seen. However I think there are few issues with your design. The side windows mimic the Enzo and it makes no sense since you changed the rear which was also mimicking the Enzo. Also since you lowered the taillights it kind of looks like an Elise from the angle you took the picture. About the front- it is just wrong. Firs of all if you did this to a real F430 it would overheat all the time as there would be insufficient air flow to the radiators. Also it is just not blending with the rest of the car. I think if you just reshaped the actual openings (to resemble kind of the inlets of the 360 upside down) and then just painted the black part of the "shark nose" it would have been a lot cleaner look. Actually I am not keen to the look of the shark nose myself and so are not many of the F430 owners. A lot of them actually take the color coded approach on their cars. Even on the rear undertray. Novitech Rosso deals really good with the shark nose.
Whatever we say, it is just our oppinion. What is important is for you to like the model you made and to have fun. So some of us may like your design and some of us not, but in the end it is irrelevant.
Keep your imagination alive and the projects coming.

Very nice work even with the rare color combo. I'm not really a fan of what you did with the front inlets, but it still looks like you have lots of skill in your work. Hope to see some more in the future.

Very nice, I was thinking of buying a F430 coupe and buying some painting kit and paint the wheels black and the color some blue color

Excellent craftsmanship, but I agree w Lucky, the modded air inets in the front are just hideous, don't match the car at all. But, to each his own, just my [twocents].

That looks great, and I think the front intake fits in just fine. I wish I had the skill to create something like that.

LOL! Your words are much more kind than when I first saw the real F430. I didn't like the 360 at first but now I think it is gorgeous in it's simplicity...by comparison the 430 looks like a cheap hooker wearing too much make-up IMO. If the 430 Scuderia had been shown a year ago when I did all my mods I would have used those openings which I think are the best so far that I or Pininfarina have penned. The changes on the 430 Scuderia bring that whole design home IMO.

Thanks all for the comments and critiques.

How about you redeem yourself (LOL) and show us some pictures of what is in the background in the cases. Looks like interesting material.

Good eye! Those 330's in the back look quite good.

Very nice and original idea - the front scoops were never my favourite either. I think if you had made them even bigger, like on the 360, it would have looked even better ;)
