    I just received word that I will be getting my 599 at the end of 2008. Please post photos of unique options that you have ordered on your 599. I just saw a 612 Sessanta with special factory options including diamond stitched seats, painted aluminum trim, blacked out chrome, tinted windows, and painted console.

    I have decided to request factory options to build a unique 599. I am considering two tone paint (black roof, pillars and silverstone or titanium body), diamond stitching seats, alcantera trunk, and .....

    Any ideas? Please provide photos

    My other dilemma is that I have been asked to consign one of my cars when the 599 arrives -- my 430 Spider or my 612 HGT-S. That will be a very hard choice. Thoughts?

    If you choose a custom paint option like two tone or an out of the norm color you will most likely add several months to your wait time

    Damn that IS a hard choice. You can't beat a convertible. BUT you can't take another couple out to dinner with you in the 430... As much as I would hate to I would probably part w/ the 430, heck you will probably get more for it than for the 612 anyway...crazy as things are with the front engine V12 F-cars! The choice of the heart incidentally would be to keep the 430 and sell the 612; keeping the 612 is the logical choice... YMMV!

    I added many items to my car. Production took 9 months, it was 11 mos from order to delivery. I sent many photos, annotated in Italian, specifying exactly what I wished. Lots of EM's. My original paint wish was not able to be matched, there was an additive which they could not match, called Xirallic. So, I had a separate design concept I did in parallel that I switched to, but it changed all colors. That was successfully matched, and it actually looks better than my original concept. I didn't ask how much, I don't believe any of us knew. I used my dealer initially, but my requirements were well beyond the usual, so I worked directly with the factory and FNA. My Italian improved greatly. I got many EM pictures of my specific car in progress.

    Two-tone and some of the items you mention should be far easier. Pricing in my eyes was fair, not cheap. I would avoid alcantara trunk, the carpet is fine, you can play with colors. Alcantara is not rugged enough for a useable trunk IMO.

    Dump the 612, keep the Spyder.
