Anyone interested in one (or more) I'm looking into taking some laptops (high end performace specs weighing from 7+lbs) and may be able to custom paint in ferrari colors. I am trying to get rossa corsa red, blue pozzi and can do others even a Challenge stradale edition. Complete with hand painted emblem in middle of lid. Price: 3,000+ depending on specs

Can also do porsche and other models as well. Come on what could be better than a laptop to match your car! In design and power!

Yeah but that isn't custom thats only available in three styles and widely distributed. Mine will be hand painted custom to match your ferrari the acer only comes one way per model mine comes limitless ways!

The price is right you will pay 3k for any good power laptop (voodoo, alienware, etc.)

That means, not very durable. Not unless it is sealed quite well. A week with me, and it will chip and flake away like factory Ford paint.

    Upgradable video cards? Yea right.

where have you been? There are at least a handful of Notebooks with upgradeable graphics. ANd I said maybe. And if you take care of it you should have no problem- I've never had trouble with a laptop or ford paint job. Now dodge....chevy... I can't say the same. I've had the dell painted like that over a year and its fine, you may get little blemishes and that happens with any notebook if your not careful. Tell ya what I'll include a small bottle (nail polish size) of the paint for touch ups!

If you sell about 15 or 20 you can get a Ferrari. I think Gentry will be interested.

What kind of travels do you have with your notebook that the paint lasts?

And yes, I keep up with notebooks quite a bit.

I'm not trying to buy a ferrari with this project- just make some money.

I start with the chasis and sanding, painting, clear-coating, and polishing. I could use metallic etc. ( I love metallic blues, dark ones!)

Anyway this is what you get: I'll use the AMD Turion 64 processors ranging from 1.8 to 2.4ghz (this is blazing fast stuff here!)

    15.4 inch widescreen
SD 3200 ram at 400mhz up to 2gb
Hitachi travelstar hard drives: ranging from 40-80 gigs and 5400rpm-7200rpm
    128mb ati x700 graphics
Wireless built in along with windows xp pro
Briefcase/carrying case (leather or metal etc.)
AC adaptor and battery (extra available)

They weigh around seven pounds. Battery life varies but you should get at least 3hrs if not more. Cost: 3-4000

Thats not bad for an easy mod I've done similar stuff. I just did a dell inspiron 8200 (3yrs old) I replaced the dell logo on the lid with ferrari and also put the shields on both wrist pads. Not bad and super fast, easy and cheap. But far from what I am offering- wouldnt you rather have a fully painted ( I can do black/silver/blue pozzi, fly yellow, and rossa corsa red) along with the shield(s)
