I want to remove the "wood" trim in my 7 series and replace it with real mahogany. Are their local wood shops that would be able to make me the pieces custom if I gave them the strips out of my car interior?

Are their wood shops like this at all?

Mahogany? YUK!!! (No offense). May I suggest that you look into some woods that will really add some pazaz to your car. I would suggest tropical hardwoods such as Kingwood, Cocobolo, Bolivian Rosewood, Paduk or Canarywood. For the pieces that you want to make, the expense will not be that great. Visit www.cocoboloinc.com for some ideas and prices. You will be VERY glad you checked this out!

Here is a cup holder that I made for my 308 using Paduk. When done, it will be finished with inlayed strips (Like on a nice guitar) under cut and rubbed laquer. I plan to make several of them for sale.

Check with Gentry. Seriously, he is decking his office out with Bamboo and may have some connections. This is no joke. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=134545145&postcount=38
