    Hi all

I just wanna to show you guys my new customized plates - I've decided to give ALL my models a more personal l@@k.
These were made by a girl in Germany, she makes almost EVERYTHING of decals - and she's really quick too, I think she used 3 hours from I placed the order and til she mailed me - "DONE" :D:D:D:D:D

The price for these 200 sets of plates + Lambo logos was 50€
(the decals with my name on it, was as a suprise and therefor free) :D:D:D:D

They're nice, although totally fantasy. That's a nice thing about the USA where you can actually have such plates.

I see 2 real plates for sure. They look really nice and will give the models a more personal look.
    Rather expensive, but very special.

    That'd be HD-TR 1991, right?

I customized a 1/18 308 to match my car and I made my own US license plate PWRSLID on the laser printer based on a fotograph I took. Turned out nicely.

    I know.
    :) :) :)

Man, I love the US plates. My state doesn't have a cool plate design, but e.g. Florida, California and Texas have really sweet stuff. But still we get to do our own vanity plates. Back in Switzerland I had "ZH 1992" which for a Swiss plate was way cool, but over here not even worth a second glance. Germany is one small step better, but not much.

For the life of me I don't understand why other countries don't follow the example of the US plates. It would make look cars way cooler and the government can make an extra buck.

Here in The Netherlands we don't have personal plates.
The plates belong to the car and stay with it all its live.
You can't see from which part of the country or city the car is from.
If you know a little bit about the numbers you can identify the year of built, that's all.

    Agree...
When I visited Ferrari Racing Days 04, I saw about 1500 Ferraris, and with my hand on my heart, I swear that 95% of all the cars had 360 or 348 or a combination which linked the car to its type - VERY COOL

    In Norway....HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHA
We only have two letters followed by 5 digits Like AA 54577
    BOOOOOOOOOOOORING!

Yet another example of how similar Norway and Switzerland are. In a bad way that is.

In Switzerland plates like that are auctioned off and sometimes make 15k. That's just insane!

A US vanity plate costs you about $ 70 (depends on the state and the vehicle type, age).

Hmm, real German plates don't give you that much freedom. Most cool Ferrari plates are from vehicles registered in Frankfurt so they can get the Ferrari "F".

Another sad thing about Europe is, that they make you put a front license plate on. Nothing look worse than a German F40 with a front plate plastered on the wing or the nose. Just ugly.
The US have the front plate too, but you can get away with not having one (like me).

PS: One good thing about German car laws: At least the F40 is legal as opposed to Switzerland where they outlawed it.

So you mean that TWO different cars can have the same plate??
(after the ""death" of the first car of course)

Here the plates are burried with the car...and will NEVER been used again

No, one plate exists only for one car. However one car can have different plates in its lifetime. When you buy a car the state gives you its first plate (just some random ugly number and letters). Then you can keep that or upgrade to custom or vanity plates. If you get tired of your vanity plate, you can have a different one. But nobody else can have the same vanity plate as you do.

PS: Can you tell you hit a nerve with me on this subject? I have a real license plate fetish...

Geez! The F40 is defaced by that plate, but when you look at the Enzo you just wanna cry and cry and cry. Government policy at its worst.

    Oh certainly.

I never quite understand Ferrari owners (in the US) who don't put on a vanity plate. I mean you're obviously a car guy/girl otherwise you'd be driving a Toyota. So why don't you put a cool plate, especially if it is so easy and cheap. A Ferrari without a vanity plate is like a lady with a fur coat and sneakers.
