I'm sending my 360 wheels out to get cut tomorrow. How much needs to be removed on the rear wheels so i don't need to run a spacer?

If you fill out your profile, it will help.

On my 77, I have 8.75 rear rim width, (that is measured from bead to bead seat on the inside of the wheel). I also have QA-1 shocks with narrow springs. my clearance, from spring od to the tire sidewall is about the width of a finger (3/4ths of an inch).

So, it is necessary tofigure out what tire you are going to use, stock spring diameter or smaller, then narow the wheel appropriately.

I have been running these wheels for about 3 years and a few track events with no loss of tire pressure or balance problems.

    Weldcraft did the narrowing.

Here are a couple of photos.

I used the stock 360 wheel bolt length in the back.

    chris

What size lugs did you use for the front?

I used the bolts from Daniel at Ricambi. He sells the Hill Engineerng line and they are reportedly of stronger steel and tripple chrome plated.

To answer your question stock 360 length + 30mm (with the 20 mm spacer).

Here is a link to a thread on the 360 wheel fitting:

    http://www.ferrari101.com/forum/showthread.php?t=101443&highlight=360+wheels+308

Here is a photo of the stock bolts and the new 360+30mm front bolt.

The really good news is that once you get these wheels on, you have room for more brakes, (in this case F-50 14 inch Brembos; backs got the full 360 set up).

    Cheers,
    chris

    Fatbillybob,

Here is a bit of info on my costs a few years ago:

I believe the stock tires are 25.5 inches tall. Both the front and rear Goodyears specd out at 25.1 Front 225/40x18 and 255/35x18 rear.

The wheels, caps, wheel bolts & shipping was: $1700.
    10 360 length + 30 mm bolts & 20mm spacers Ricambi: 295.
    Shipping to Weldcraft: 60.
Narrowing & return shipping from Weldcraft: 314.
    Total $2369.

Tires - $950 or your choice

As i recall, it took a while to safely pack the wheels: find a box about the right size, cut plywood for the top and botttom of the box, fill it with peanuts, tape the hell out of it and take it to the local "Post Haste" for shipping.

    hth,
    chris

Hey, when you send those wheels in to Weldcraft... let 'em know I'll be by soon to get a Mercedes wheel straightened...again! Maybe they'll give me a freebie...
