So I know that I have to replace one of my inner boots because I saw that it is cracking.

Want to do it before it breaks and I have a big mess.

My outer boot on that same axle is fine but I'm guessing it might be just as old as the inner... I don't know since I didn't change them myself.

My question is... should I go ahead and replace both since I'll be pulling it to do it anyway or just leave the outer one?

It'd be daft not to if you are pulling the drive shaft.

I'd also clean all the old grease out of both the joints and replace with new.

If I recall, one of the WSMs stipulates 140g of grease per joint but I think the correct amount is in fact 100g (as spec'd in one of the other WSMs)

Don't quote me on those figures , look them up!

Put lots of penetrating fluid on the driveshaft bolts for several days before you attempt it.
