    Tried a 13 mm wrench .. too small ... tried a 14 mm wrench .. too big.

    I now assume the nuts holding on the half shaft to the gear box end are special .... any advice?

    I recall using a socket, can't remember but are they Torx?

    A regular 12 pointed metric socket from a regular (non-impact) socket set will fit these bolts, but off the top of my head I can't remeber the size, I think it was 13mm or 14mm.

    You don't need anything "special".
