me, yesterday. I think I'm being funny (this is a Game of Thrones joke, if you don't know the show the pic won't make sense) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Way to kill the thread! Jk, I don't watch GoT. Haven't had a chance to ride too much here lately. Working 6am-5pm really puts a damper on things
Have gone for some good rides this week on the road bike. My legs are quite tired and I intended a break but the weather is too nice! Instead I'll do a shorter 25km route for now and in the evening I will be playing some tennis. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Once in awhile I stand an take a pic because of the scenery. This picture I took in Nobleton, Ontario and it was a great view. Sadly you can't see anything. The fence is guarding a conservation area which is also located higher up so you could see the Toronto skyline in the distance. Image Unavailable, Please Login
This was just awesome and I couldn't miss it. Amazing barn and house but the location in the hills is breathtaking. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm not a gym person so I try to do outdoorsy activities and a little bit of cycling now and then. You need to be tough going on mountain biking the terrain can be unpredictable.

What's your wet dream of a bike? Anyone fond of track bikes? http://www.thebikelist.co.uk/images/models/BMC/2014/track-tr01-2014-track-bike/Main.jpg
I see you are getting in some good workouts. Yep, there are some beautiful bike riding country up around your location. The weather has also been cooperative. I am eager to get back on my bikes once my ankle heals from recent surgery.
Got a good one and now I am happy because the season is coming to a close. Topped just over 50km with a decent average is it took me less than 2 hours. If you're ever out this way for a ride let me know. I was in kleinburg today riding test on and cut through nobleton on the way back. but ya good 50km/30 mile ride in today.
I have a questions for everyone and see if anyone can provide insight. On my road bike I use my phone as a GPS tracker and use a bike computer as well. They seem very accurate together on everything EXCEPT top speed. Would someone be able to explain that to me? Average speed has a variation of about 1-2km/h and today when I rode 50km according to my bike meter my gps said 49km. That stuff all seems close now how is it that top speed is offer by WAY more. For example bike meter says 65km/h the GPS says 43km/h. How is that possible?
Yep, I noticed the "raf". Too extreme for my taste tho, more of a proof of concept project (Oberbike IMO ). This is my TT a proven performer and still relevant. Image Unavailable, Please Login
A big part of my beef re cycling is the amount of time and hassles required these days to just get out there, "fully kitted", for a good training ride. It's taking me too much time and I'm short of time these days. You are lucky to live in the midst of good cycling country. I actually used to live in Ancaster and stupid me, was too lazy to get back into cycling when I had access to some of the most interesting cycling terrain in the province. Oh well. However, I'd love to take you up on your offer. In the meantime, I am looking forward to trying my "new" ankle out on my trainer very soon!
Hmmm, which GPS tracker and bike computer do you use? Does your computer use a regular speed/cadence sensor that count revolutions of your wheel(s)? I believe GPS is only accurate to about 3.5 meters and would vary according to atmospheric conditions. Whereas the speed/cadence sensors should be more accurate unless there is a problem with the Bluetooth connection. So, I think your bike computer using the speed/cadence sensor should provide more accurate data.
