I was an assisted suicide as they say in DC. I lived in DC on and off for 30 years and as a younger man had some lady friends that were in that line of work. One spilled the beans to NBC news when a top Soviet offical was missing and the CIA paid her $50,000 to entertain him. She was threatened and harrased no stop for 2 years by agents knocking on her door at 4:00 am ect. I have a couple other stories as well that are more recent and the same situation threats and intimidation. They didn't whack her in the traditional sense but put enought pressure on her to send her over the edge.
