Well after taking quite a while to mull this over I have finally decided on a winner in the Mason-Dixon photo contest.

First let me say that I was really impressed with the entries. There really are a lot of creative and talented people out there. There were probably 5 or 6 pictures that could have won.

In the end, there was one picture that I kept going back to that said it for me.

Those of you that know me know that I'm just itch-in to drive all the time. The more balls-to-the-wall twisty, gnarly roads cutting through forests and fields (and an Amish farm or two) I can find, the more sane I am( I know, I know sane, is pushing the description of my state of mind a bit but , all things are relative) .
The picture that in the end made me want to go get in my car and drive was the shot by Sean-Michael fallowing Joe Mac through the swampy Rt 9 sections. It really said it all.

To me photographs are my life and my passion and I want to thank everyone who participated in this little contest. It was fun, and a privilege and as I said in the beginning I think everyone will be able to remember the good time they had at this event a little better by trying hard to document it with their camera.

BTW Sean-Michael, how much post-process? Your car shouldn't have had that much movement showing up. You certainly nailed it.

Congratulations Sean!!! He also shot my personal favorite which was the photograph of the inside of the car with the driving gloves randomly laid on the console. Great Artistic perspective and so telling of the story of the theme of the rally event "Driven to Excellence". Congratulations to Sean-Michael. Jon in Delaware

Great pic! I agree this sums up the passion of the day. It is also in no way an indication that either of us exceeded the legal speed limit

    SERIOUSLY! WOW thanks man.

Post very little but it looked odd to me that the car was standing still so i gave it some blur as well. The funny thing about these photos is my buddy that was my co rider I told him BRING your camera and start shooting while i drive. He would jsut stick his camera up and shot away not knowing what he was shooting.

We have some very very bad photos of nothing and a few real gems.

The glove shot in my eyes is really just sheer beauty. It really is so peaceful but its after the madness and u know it was mad! I am having that printed. If u want me to pull 2 let me know and i will get her framed up for u as well.

Thanks Sean, I would like one. It is awesome.

Thanks and Congratulations buddy. Let me know what you want to do about the prize. If you want to do the Mercedes sometime soon let me know, or if you don't think I'll be too old and shaky by the time the Morgan is ready, we could do a time thing where we shoot it every so often during the progress and then a big blowout, that's fine too.
