I tried posting this in a G37 forum and got 50 views and zero responses. I'm guessing it was because most people on that forum are 16 years old and know nothiing about anything. soooooooooooo....

OK, So up until 3 weeks ago, I had a black on black 2008 G37S. I was hit by another car and it was totaled by the insurance company. So now I have to go buy another one and I want another G37S, I just don't know if I should get a used one and wait for the new model to come out, then pull the trigger on one of those or just get the 2013 and lease it for 3 years.

So, several questions that yall could probably help me out with here.

    1. When do you realistically seeing the new re-modeled COUPE coming out? I have been hearing that the new G37 sedan should be unveiled in the Spring of 2013 and the Coupe should follow a year later. Think this is true??

    2. I've got a choice between two cars. One is here:
    http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=77002&endYear=2008&modelCode1=G37&showcaseOwnerId=76440&startYear=2008&makeCode1=INFIN&sellerTypes=p&sellerType=p&searchRadius=25&maxPrice=25000&mmt=%5BINFIN%5BG37%5B%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D&minPrice=25000&listingId=333823902&listingIndex=1&Log=0

    Any thoughts on this car?

The 2013 model is $48,500. How much do you think I should offer on this car? $45,000? less? more? And they are saying the 3 year residual value is SET at $27K by Infiniti. Is this just BS? What parameters can i negotiate on a lease?

Any and all thoughts/comments would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah, that's interesting. I wonder if he is just going to whole sale it. Maybe he has to get rid of it. The guy is a DJ and doesnt live in the most expensive area of town if you know what I mean. Perhaps he is just over extended and it's about to be repossessed?? Hmmm.. getting nervous now thinking about it lol

just for me. I KINDA like the Audi A5, but not as much as the G37. The G37 is a GREAT car. I love it. 330 HP. great handling. Interior has all the bells and whistles. And I almost dare to say the brakes on it are just as good as my F430.

Dont need anything fast like an M3. Just something comfortable but peppy for a daily driver

I have driven the G35 coupe but never a G37. My opinon on them has always been that they are nice cars. And a nice option if you are spending $30K or so on one. I just can't imagine spending almost $50K for a new one. For that much money I would be looking for a used 911 or Jag XK.

I don't know about value, but a suggestion is to look at the IPL version, it's like a NISMO version of the 370Z.

Wife has a 2011 G37S and loves it. I would prefer if it were a manual but the paddle shifters are fun to play with.

Great power, handling, brakes. Our only complaint was the colors available pretty limited for a major manufacturer.

We had a 08 G35 sedan. Now we have a 2010 G37. Essentially the same car. I plan on getting another one after the lease ends in July.

The power is alarming. The brakes as mentioned are phenomenal. The handling is superb. The ride isn't as good as a C or E class, but those lack in fun factor in comparison.

New one should be out soon. I read an article recently. I would hold out. The major model jumps are worth it. Compare an 06 sedan to an 08 or 10 and you know what I mean. The next version should be great. I'm jumping on it as soon as its out and the current lease is up.
