I have one too. Bringing it to Red Bank C&C next month, along with another owner (who normally brings his 993 Pcar). To be pedantic, it's a tax credit not a rebate. "You" are not paying for it but the government is getting less revenue. Are you aware that a similar program worth about $400 million went to '05-'07 Prius buyers? It's weird that I never even heard of that program yet I can't find a reference to the Volt w/o someone pointing out the tax credit on the trickle of cars being sold. Just one of those things, I guess... For the record, I don't agree with it either. I think the mortgage interest deduction is ridiculous too but I sure as hell take advantage of it. A credit/rebate is the same net effect- any taxpayer not receiving it is therefore paying for it. I'm not against people taking advantage of it, I'm against that it exists. The original volt owner mentioned the "awesome rebates" and I commented on them. I stand by my comment- everyone can have their own opinion of course.
That is what I drive usually as well. I have several other company vehicles though as well. Ford Focus, F 150, F 450... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Actually in Colorado; you get a $6K additional rebate. Have I told you that Im also getting 10.5KW Solar Project and getting??... beyond awesome rebates/credits from the IRS and our local electric company. Ive earned those through sweat and blood and nothing wrong to get something back ..it feels good as well since I do have real positive impact on the environment.. You should try it is it awesome for sure for those who pay high taxes !!!
2011 BMW M3 Sedan with DCT, ESS Tuning supercharger and Akropovic exhaust. 625 flywheel hp and it rocks!!
Yes, they make a great daily. I mostly do town driving so I bought a Tiptronic. Fantastic build quality. Lee
Beautiful. I had a 97 993 C2S. Possibly the best car I have ever owned. Bought it for 59k in 2002 and sold it in 2010 for 57.5k. Talk about holding value. A ziplock doesn't hold water that well !
04 Escalade, 04 Jaguar X type, and when I'm feeling "green" 2010 HHR which can go 500 miles on one tank of gas. Thing is a miser, but last time I took it to play hockey my friends said "no way a guy who drives that owns a ferrari.." I am holding out now for the new tesla 4 door for my next car. A friend has the roadster and I got to drive that. The acceleration is awsome, but top speed not so much. I hope they eventually get to produce that thing because the all glass display is insane.
I wish somebody would DD an Enzo and blog about it...would sate my curiosity about running costs at 15,000 miles a year;-) Game?
