Indeed, and let me tell ya something....American cars are just ****. Very sad, I happened to like it but was a rattlebox and I just wasnt to impressed. My dad owned an Oldsmobile dealership up until a couple of years ago. No one is more dissappointed than me of the demise of the american auto industry. Im sure the new Z06 and Ford GT are different, but there is nothing like a foriegn car.

gorgeous car Michael... I bet if you changed out the burl to either brushed aluminum or carbon, it wldnt look so dated inside. Lotsa luck with it!

If you dont remember who I am.. we met at your dealership with Bailey last year. I had the really old blue Supra.

I just got my 02 M5 a few weeks ago. Ive been strafing on ramps & off ramps since I got her :) She is highly addictive to drive. Feels like 85% of a 512TR w your friends along for the ride :)

What year is yours ? Your Nav screen is different from mine

I have the wood trim also, looks better than the titanium

its a real rocket, like I said its about 85% of a 512TR, it pulls HARD & corners & brakes like a sports car.

    Highly addictive :)

Interesting question! Its different than my past DD, an 05 S4 6 speed. Feel about the same power wise, strange? Its very fast past 50 mph but 0-60 performance is ****ty due to a sloppy gearbox. Not tight along with long throws, makes it to tough to bang thru the 1-2 shift. Its power seems endless and makes 130 feel like 75. Very rock solid and stable even at high speeds. Ive read of the carbon build up issue on the M5 board and will be addressing that issue on saturday. Maybe im in for a treat.

I do think the 85% testarossa comparison is funny. Ive never driven one but I do compare it often to my NSX and I can honestly say, the M5 does nothing better than my NSX other than fit 2 more people and guzzle petrol at a record pace.

a short throw shifter kit would probably help there. I just ordered some polyurathane suspension bushings & rear sway bar brackets for mine as my buchings r worn & the brackets tend to fail on M5s when driven hard

Have you been to http://www.m5board.com yet ?

Great site w lots of info

That M5 site is great. Im holding out for an AC Schnitzer Short shift kit used on Ebay or on the M5 board. That will hopefully help. Id like a set of springs too.

William, what color is your M? Topaz Blue? I really wanted Red or White but they are impossible to find. For some reason M5 get driven and 99% of them have tons of miles, most over 50k. I wanted something under 20k miles and everyone selling crazy low mileage cars wanted stupid money.

Because they are mostly daily drivers. Not many people want a 4 door weekend car. LOL!
