Hi guys I am new here. I was just looking over various ferrari sites and found this one to be the best. I have a 1995 F-355 GTS and a 2004 360 spider. Also I have a 2002 BMW M5 I love it to bits but its time for a change, I occasionally drive my 360 or my 355 to work but not very often. I do love the M5 but like I say its time for a change something newer or something with a better marque. I have 80k + the M5 so what would you suggest for that price range for a nice daily driver. What do you have for your daily driver and why... I picked the M5 because it was fast comforatable and elegant when I needed to entertain clients and had the space to shift big things (i.e servers etc)

Hi and welcome to the site....

My daily is currently an A3 DSG :(

However, in between my 330 and the audi is did use my Westfield as my daily driver...

No screen, no roof, no heater, and it was winter

    lots of fun though :)

The m6 vert' isnt out yet is it??? and with my past track record with BMW and waiting I do not like the idea of waiting for my new car to arrive with excuse upon excuse from them saying my car is not ready. Although the CLS55 AMG does sound VERY tempting, I did concider an S class instead of the M5 now I have the chance to try both see which ones better haha!!!
Option 2 - I was thinking of buying another F car and using it as my daily....

I did concider the new gallardo, but then deicided after hearing / seeing pictures of horror stories with maintainance and problems not to and to sit happily with my ferraris :p I will definatly go to my dealer and see what the 575m's are like

I had toyed with a Porsche Cayenne as a “sensible “car. I test drove a 3.6 litre V6. The handling isn’t bad for a 4X4, it never feels like it’s going to actually fall over. It is, however, the most gutless thing since Captain Birdseye first realised that fish fingers were the way to a young boy’s heart. It is dangerously and embarrassingly slow.

Disillusioned, I had a new idea: Buy a diesel and save the mileage on the other cars for sunny days. I’ve never owned a diesel; they have always been like tractors to me: Practical and ideal for the right environment, but generally a pain in the backside if you are stuck behind one. So it was with trepidation that I set off to investigate the world of diesel engined road vehicles.

It is a little incongruous to turn up at a car showroom in a Ferrari 550 and ask about the Volvo XC90 or BMW X5. To be fair the people at Volvo and BMW managed to save my embarrassment by totally ignoring me whilst I hovered about their showroom trying to look like I owned a caravan. What is it about car salesmen that make them so inert? It’s not like they have to work very hard all day, so they can’t be worn out.

I decided to try another tack – I’d phone and arrange a test drive. This actually worked a treat. Audi were prompt to reply, got a car to me to test and sent along a lovely young lady to sell it to me. Now this might be a good tactic in certain circumstances, but I got distracted from the issues I was meant to be thinking about. When she asked me what I thought of it, I was still marvelling that she could get her feet into such pointy shoes, so I was a bit vague.

As I’ve had three or four Audi Quattros in the past and they’re all very similar inside, I wasn’t under-going any kind of new car revelation. “It’s very similar to my old RS4” I muttered realising that the parallels between a 400 bhp V6 Twin Turbo and an oil burning stove on wheels might be lost on my new companion. So our test drive progressed. I discovered all sorts of useful things about my new friend, and very little about the Audi Avant 3.0 TDI Quattro. Arriving back at the garage she gave me my cup of tea and moved in for the kill. Our burgeoning emotional bond was broken when I finally had to admit that I was a company car buyer and we could never consummate our relationship. Strangely the fleet sales person had much more sensible shoes, a polyester suit and was, as far as I could tell, planning on being a man when he grew up.

So there it is. A month ago I was thinking about a Vanquish, today I'm awaiting delivery of a diesel estate strange times.

I do like aston martins styling but I dont like the idea of paying 100k for something that performs no better than a porsche 911 ....... i have looked into the 575 (my favorite ferrari of all time) I concidered a deisel but I dont think it would suit me very well) My friend has an 02 plate Focus deisel, I dont know what model or engine size but when I had my BMW 323i it was keeping up with that, which he kindly let me test drive the other day. I must say that I found it suprisingly responsive and nice! I have since test drove other deisels including the BMW convertable deisel, Audi Deisels and also a used cayenne .... I found the same with the cayenne .... sluggish and pathetic for a porsche.... Although I do like the volvo XC90, but its too far from my normal style, I have whittled it down to the 575m ORRRR a GT3 Porsche

we started using the new IBM ones (I dont know the unit number) but they are the slim ones. one of the best decisions I ever made. We do have a Audi A8 company car and a Mercedes sprinter at work for the main moving aboiut. this car will be mainly for my enjoyment and for taking clients out in (now come on you meet up with a guy who your about to spend 100k + with ... and he takes you out for a nice drive to a local restaurant / bar / hotel in a ferrari... wouldnt that push you to upgrade to the gold package for an extra 50k ;) they will be all " oh this guy OBVIOUSLY looks after his customers etc .. i`ll ugrade "

Oh by the way, just to clear up. I am no IT man. I am hardly any good with anything with IT, But I develop properties so its not very often when I carry a server, unless the client wants one in their house I am developing for them

Out of interest, could you let us know why you chose your user name which appears to be a combination of a car you have and one you don't. Perhaps 360 rather than 430 would have been more relevant.
