Shukran, habibi! The yellow one is a kit with a chevy 350 in it. However, it was quite faithful to the original gt40 so it was fun to get the pespective of the new Ford GT compared to the original gt-40. Here are a couple of pictures of a real 66 GT40 from a photoshoot I had a couple of years ago. My camera wasn't all that impressive so the shots aren't quite what they could be. With that said, this was an incredible car, stunning in its performance and presence. A real race car that was scary to drive. (I didn't drive it but my friend who did was quite careful) regards ken One of my favorite pictures is the first one, showing the carbs thru the side intake. I also like the last picture which is what you see when you look behind when seated in the car. Motor. Sitting inches from you. quite cool. kcv Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

.........thanks Ken for the great pictures, I simply love that car and I really want to have one in my garage one day. To me that car combines beauty, history, muscle and pure racing, all together in one car, same as the Ferrari which I also adore.
I have been going to Destin several times a year for the last 15 years or so, I don't know him personally, but he sounds like quite a character, does he still have the HHR with the gorilla ??
No, we've never met. But looking at his cars you can see that he believes in driving instead of just collecting.
I've been living here for 20 years and haven't seen that one yet. He's a fan of chrome trim and I do remember his red TR with the really wide stuff around the wheel wells back in the mid 90's.
HE used to have a red hhr with a life sized stuffed gorilla in sunglass and gold chain necklaces in the passenger seat
