What part of Canada has green grass and plant growth yesterday..?? I heard of Global Warming but..................
It is worse than that. After 2 years of flawless performance (minus when the photographer have ****ed up) it have decided to give me problems. Back in October I started having an issue where the image in the viewfinder was like jumping. It literally looked like when you flip from one dias to another. On the screen I could see it constantly switching between the focus modes, One Shot, AI Focus and AI Servo. it did so on all zoom, but especially around 300mm. I send it in and IS was replaced. I got it back November 22nd. Waited a few days until there was good light again, before I went out to shoot. tested it but felt something was wrong. Couldn't say exactly, but it felt out of focus. Weather got bad again and I put it away over xmas and brought it out here again in the new year. Still felt something was wrong. So I calibrated it. Worked "well" for a few days I think. Then all hell broke lose. I completely lost AF on it now. There is NOTHING!! No matter what zoom I am on, 100-400mm or if I switch between near and distance. Nothing happens. I haven't even shot 60 shots with it since I got it back in November. Luckily I bought a 5 year insurance plan with it when I got it November 2010. I am just surprised (and pissed as hell) as I Have never ever lost it or bumped it against anything. Not once. So I have send it in again yesterday. Before that I crosschecked it on my 30D and both cameras with various lenses. All other lenses work perfectly fine on both the 30D and 7D. But the 100-400 does not work on any of them. UGH!! Now I am in love with the 200-400 w. ext. But I am afraid it is way out of my pricerange for the time being
I have used my friends gen I 70-200 2.8 numerous times, and had seen the jumping issue myself. After one or two jumps, it would settle in. I wish you the best of luck in getting this resolved!
Thank you I have not experienced any problems with my gen II 70-200 2.8 (touch wood) and hope it stay that way Haven't had any problems with any of my other lenses either, some of them now 7 years old.
I am loving this camera, at first I couldn't believe I spent $650 on a point and shoot but the more I use it the more I love it. The only thing I really miss from a DSLR is bokeh, but I certainly don't mss dragging all that crap around. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sounds like someone needs to calibrate their monitor....me For some reason my normal routine of pulling the magenta and purple hue slider all the way to the didn't work. Image Unavailable, Please Login
this one turned out better IMHO. Still a little awkward with the wide angle. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I prefer the first one, but I think the FF could use some more light. I think the second one has too much empty space. Still, both are great.
Just cropped vs. not makes that difference. It was fun, but unless I get to set them up in an exciting way... it's really not that awesome. Just fun
The crazy inside of a Daytona hotel last saturday for the 24 hrs. Looks like the rat pack just left, and Quentin Tarantino is about to film a slasher movie. Crazyyyyyyyyyyyyy place , but on the ocean. Sure it's all fun and games until you have to go to sleep, I will not show the rooms.
