still at it! taken yeterday 105 2.8 macro 1/2000th ss to catch a moving insect, virtually impossible..Maybe 1 in 200 are acceptable.. Panning and focusing is a trick..almost like depressing clutch while braking and blipping throttle to catch a lower gear!! while turning steering wheel.. My wife is now on Sable Island "The Grave Yard of the Atlantic" 200 miles off the coast of Nova Scotia (the island where my grandmother grew up) with all my camera gear strapped to her. There are between 350-400 wild horses that roam the island. I hope she gets some good pictures.
There is usually quite a few here in DK at this time of the year, but so far I have only seen maybe 5-10 smaller ones. Normally I can catch 20+ big ones a day.

Dangerous Hornets.. You hear a loud buzzing when they flap...very scary large! arborist call them Secada killers as they dig in dirt seeking secada larva.. Ok this is the 17th year of the 17 year cycle that secadas emerge.. Radio report says there will be over 50 trillion secadas this summer in northeast..
