    Hi all,

    I have a Ferrari 456 M of the early Hotwheels. Now the factory made a paint mistake. All the paint is going of the car. I e-mailed the shop where I bought this car, and they called the Hotwheels guys from Holland. They refused to repaint the car or replace this one.

    Now my question does anyone has a good 456 M or does anybody know what else to do with this problem??

    I have a 456M in a Champagne Gold colour and it is generally a very nice model but the paint on one side is very rough - not coming off but a really poor finish. A shame because I'd say it was a cut above the usual Hotwheels models.

    ...have you thought of painting it yourself? or having it re-sprayed?

    Dismanteling it is really easy, strip it from all removeable trim and scuff it with a soft sanding paper...then take it to a local body shop, ask how much will they charge you to refinish it...maybe it wont be so expensive and you get to choose the new colour...IMO black on tan is the best combo...and there aint many of those in black.

    a HW 456M in ebay is hardly seen... I bought one from Canada and ship to HK for almost 100USD...

    I have 3 pieces 456M, but 2 of them are having serious paint problem and the paint is peeling off..... you just can't stop it.... the only way is to repaint the model...

    It's a real shame because this is my only car with this problem. I'm already searching for replacement. But I never painted a car by myself. I can try to get it paint bij a body shop. Does anyone have suggestions for colors for this car?? The inside of this model is totally black.
