I don't understand how they're all allowed to charge more, just because it is the Easter period.

    Isn't this collusion?

I guess you dont know about the typical cycle. Wed/Thur is always the most expensive part of the week when buying petrol, watch tomorrow it will be back down a cool 15c. Why... Pay day is on wed/thursday for most ppl ;) It really hasnt got much to do with Easter.

We in Oz have it fairly cheap compared to Europe which is over $2/l!!! the USA/Canada ofcourse have it cheaper then us.

Also Venezula will be selling their oil at $50 a barrel which is much cheaper then the arab countries. Soo we could see under the $1 mark in the not to distant future.

I went to the Shell servo today to fill up my fairlane. $1.26 unleaded,$1.31 premium unleaded. The fairlane has around an 85 Litre tank, cost me $94 today for around 75 Litres. Im with moretti, who cares about fuel prices man?? I reckon it only affects the family type in the big cities that have to work around a budget. I have a mate here who just bought a XC Ford coupe/showcar with a 429 big block. He chews around $40 of fuel in an hour on a fun night :D

Like i always say, if you love the car then the price of fuel dosnt matter;)
That said, my dad always complains about me going cruising with my friends because apparently we use too much fuel..

I paid $1.46 yesterday. Just as well the CSL does circa 25mpg in the old money.

The F50 would cost over $100 to fill up now, suppose I shouldn't drive it ;)

The analogy is - if you can afford to own a F-Car then you can afford to buy the petrol that goes in the tank. I'ts a bit like the servicing issue - if you can't afford to maintain an F-Car, then don't buy one. DUH. Petrol is still expensive though, IMHO.

Noticed on my drive from Sydney to Melbourne last F1 GP weekend that petrol prices in Melbourne were 10+ cents higher than Sydney prices, on average.

Na got it at South Hurstville.

It seems to differentiate throughout the day. I must of hit it at the wrong time or something.

Im not complaining about the price, but about the business ethics that these petrol stations seem to run under. With things like Collusion and different prices by the hour. Also, petrol stations on the city bound side of the road will be around 5c dearer, while in the arvo, it’s the opposite. Business ethics like this piss me off, hence the complaining.

You talking about the one of KG's road? yeah they usually more expensive I have noticed, but wow $1.63 seems way exessive to the rest of the area, the shell on Princes @ carlton is usually cheaper and if u in the area the one near BLS is usually cheapest(for shell). I saw Mobile react last week 1st with a 15c jump a whole day earlier then the rest but they also reacted the 1st to lower the pricing all confusing really.

    Roll on 1.1L motor'd Fiats :p
