...they just had to bring their crappy east coast foul weather with them! Oh well, GO ROCKIES!!!
i really hate the al, are pitchers baseball players or not? make those ****ers hit! personally a braves fan, but ALWAYS pull for the nl, go rockies!
Guy's, as a long sad sox fan...it is exciting to see the heart of my bosox. 2-0 is a great start bit i think you all are due to change the tide. i really worry about the rockies bats coming alive!!! good luck to your guys and let's hope the games are great!!! best, pcb
AL is not real baseball. Changes the strategy of the game completely. Rocks must sweep in Denver and win one in Boston IMVHO. A very tall order with Beckett pitching game 7. Good pitching beats good hitting. Hope the Rockies come alive tonight. Otherwise, I'll be watching the Ohio State vs Penn State football game.
Well it looks like tomorrows game will be the last But I can't complain, I would rather have the Rockies play like this then what they were doing a couple years ago.
I'm not a Rockies fan or anything, I'm from Seattle, and in fact, I would've liked to see the Diamondbacks beat them, but...just remember Rockies fans. ...you guys have had a good fan base since 1993. The Red Sox had for the most part had no fans before 2004... same story with the Seahawks. But I hate the Seahawks. Farewell, Colin
While the latter is unquestionably true, the former isn't - the Rockies had a huge fan base from 1993 until about 1999, but then ownership's decisions made it tough to continue attending games. Earlier in this very season, the Rockies were intentionally not selling seats in large chunks of the stadium. When we lose Matt Holliday next year, fans will continue being apathetic, because the team will continue to be bad.
I grew up in NE. The red sox always had a very large, rabid bunch of long suffering fans until 2004. DAve
I'd suppose you have a point, but I haven't been around all that long (1988) to see that I suppose. I didn't know much more than Mariners vs. Yankees until about 2001, lol. Yes, but you can't tell me that they haven't made 5x as much profit since they "broke the curse." Their attendance is way up, their sales are way up, you see more and more people (even all around the country) wearing "Red Sox" memorabilia. But you're three games up, currently playing the fourth, and one run up in the bottom of the third- so hats off to you and your team. I don't care if the Rockies win or the Red Sox win, but I'd rather see a team who has never won a World Series win won... (cough cough Mariners :-D) Thanks, Colin
Boston Red Sox - 2007 World Series Champions Both teams are great, Congrats to both of them for making it this far! That last game (especially the ninth inning!!! I thought that one was gone to make it 4-4) was a real nail-biter.

The bitter irony is I rooted for the red plops most of my life. I about died when they lost to the hateds yankees on Bucky Dents home run in the 70's. In '86 I allowed myself to believe they had it in the bag in the 9th inning of game 6 against the mutts only to lose. I was glad they won in '04 although my enthusiasm had waned a lot by then. Now that I want them to lose, they win! I give up. Dave
Ha ha ha, well, apparently the ship you jumped off has sailed. Oh well, it's not a big deal. I wish I could've been around for some of those really historic moments in the MLB. Congrats to the Red Sox, and Rockies. Great seasons! -Colin
