Yesterday will at the DMV I had to get some paper work from the passager side. Used the key to open the door, and locks went into the up and down cycle, before I knew it the key did not engage and there was not resistence. While I had read unlocking the door with the key would cure the dancing locks in this case it did not.

I had nothing better to do on a friday night do I took off the straker, and sure enough that red piece that is attached to the linkage arm via cotter pin was broken. In addition, found 2 loose circluar pin, with arm on the inside at 10 o'clock and 2 clocks. Have no idea where these go. Also noted that the door bolt, the thinky the door latch go around, the driver side had the cut away. section facing upward and the passager side had it facing toward the interior. Any ideas where this pins go and which of the door boltd one is positioned correctly, or which way it should face?

Do you have the diagram from the parts book? I think you have to buy a "kit" to get the individual parts to repair the lock linkage, and the kit is ridiculously expensive. There have been threads about this in the past.

The repair kit for the passenger door lock is Ferrari part #70000654. Good guy Daniel's site lists the kit for $157, and it's just six little pieces. Dealer would charge more, of course.

Thanks, I do have the diagram, and the part number, that is how I knew what was broken. The piece was out, and the edge was gone, so when I put it back in, and current the key, half way through the lock's resistence the piece would pop out.

Do you have a URL for Daniel's site.

I am more frustrated then anything else.
