I was driving my F car on a highway when I noticed a bunch of young highschool guys in a car in my rear view mirror. They were driving crazy just to get a close look at my car. They were sticking their cell phones out the window taking photos and videos. Almost side swiped me to catch a better look. While I appreciate their passion, they were a danger to me and everyone else on the road. Anyone have similar stories?

Comes with the territory mate' ......... Day in and day out.
I'll just go to cruise mode and drive steadily so that the kids can get their poison and eventually ride off from overdose.

Years ago when I had my 308 in France, I was constantly surrounded by teens on motos... in large packs. They'd drive alongside as I was creeping in traffic. Sometimes, they were so close you'd think they were passengers.

It does go with the territory no matter what country you're in. Luckily, I never hit one of them but it used to scare the heck out of me. Maybe that was their point?

    Yup.

It was pretty bad with the Dino.

But actually got significantly worse when I bought the 360.

Cars in your blind spot with a kid shooting with his camera phone. All sorts of fun.

Don't encourage them by speeding. Just go slow and steady until the teens get their fill and move on to something else. They are the ones with limited driving experience. You wouldn't want them driving into a tree trying to keep up with your Ferrari while they take pictures/videos.

I've found if you're familiar with an area and drive faster than the flow of traffic you catch people by surprise not giving them time to hover around and hassle with pics. Out here an F-car isn't that big of a deal anyway.

The worst case I had was at night when a car pulled up beside me on the interstate (70+mph) and took a FLASH picture!

Surprisingly my 308 gets a lot of attention in good ole Woodstock, GA. Lots and lots of high school kids think the car is as fast as a 430 or something and try to race me, take pics and such. What they don't know is their Maxima or Altima 3.5 would smoke my little 308. I can see why F cars are not that big of deal in Cali, but in small town GA a F car is pretty darn cool.

On one sunny summer day, several years ago, I was in one of my vintage ferraris when I noticed a couple of cute girls coming up rather hastily in a older sedan of sorts.. I noticed they were admiring the car from afar, so I eased up on the throttle somewhat to give them a look.. As they approached my car in the passing lane, I saw, much to my amasement, one of the girls half hanging out the back window of their car with camera in hand...As they passed by me, she smiled, I returned the smile to her.. she snapped a couple of pix, gave me a thumbs up , which I readily returned to her...another smile and they were on their way....Trust me, It was a pleasure for all involved.... :)

    I would.

Althought when that situation arises, I do the same. Slow and steady. If they crash into a tree, thier bad.

It has happened numerous times to me. One idiot decided to drive up the (unused) center lane of a freeway, throwing stones and debris everywhere, just to give me a thumbs up as he passed. Pickup trucks race up from behind to pull alongside and rev their engines......wanna race? Kinda dumb.....

Attention grabbing cars are a double edged sword......at least mine is not red or yellow........

A couple of years back I was that high school kid...I was driving in my town (in Westchester as well) when a yellow lamborghini gallardo drove by my friend's house. He and I jumped in my car and we followed him for a while, just listening to that engine. He eventually pulled over because we weren't doing a good job at hiding ourselves and I guess we creeped him out a little. He was probably relieved when the "menacing" suv that was following him was just two high school kids admiring the car. I've never actually jeopardized my safety or someone elses to get a good picture of a car.

Oh, wow. I'm female so I already get guys sometimes who pull up next to me and invite me to go smoke a blunt or tell me their buddy in the car likes me and has a huge cock. I can imagine it would only be worse if I have a Ferrari. I hope one day to find out though. :D

No, if you had an F they would be afraid to talk to you (aside from them being in the safe haven of being in a moving vehicle). A lot of legit (and skeez-bag) men are often intimidated by a successful woman (not me, my girl is a dynamo).

Smart thing to resist blunts from strangers, almost anything can be put on the ganj, including skank-as$ meth, and dust.

I'm not going to say what I'm thinking, no matter how funny I find it, others will find it politically incorrect. :p

After re-reading what I wrote, maybe you're thinking I want to find out about his huge hoo-ha, not about the Ferrari owning experience?
