she is mediocre at best and and shouldnt be anywhere near an F1 race booth.

 

As a former race car driver she has as much justification for being there as half or more of the men announcers. One of her problems is that women's voices are high pitched, and they have to strain more over the ambiant sound...and that makes them sound screechy. And I'm sure she is given all sorts of direction by Sky and Liberty to be flirty and sexy. Maybe the younger guys here don't find her attractive, but at 80 I sure do.

 

I want to state the obvious on why she is there but I’ll hold off on that one

 

I liked her when she did the post race interviews in Miami. This weekend in the booth she was awful. As if she was told explicitly to dumb it all down. She's intelligent and I like her, but **** me did she ramble on saying absolutely ****ing nothing of coherence this weekend.

Anyway, I much prefer Natalie Pinkham.

 

Does she say "Honda" instead of "Honder" "Haas" instead of "Hass" ?
If so, she's already better than the screaming brits....

I like her. Danica Can talk about baking cookies, I don't care. She is better to look at during a race weekend.

 

I much prefer Laura Winter. I think she's great. Laura comes across as warm and knowlegeable. Not bad on the eyes as well.

 

The swimsuit sports illustrated poses are pure porn...no class. I could do much better than that. In fact, I'm volunteering. If you know the work of French artist Alain Bonnefoit, you can see the eye that would do justice to her curves. We could always put a car somewhere in the background.

 

It's also very unfair - Martin Brundle was never asked to do a Sports Illustrated spread

 

She still is hot in my book.....

Well...it was on American Broadcast TV. ABC also carries shows like "Batchelor in Paradise"...

There is something about the tempo and pitch of her voice that is off putting to me. Despite her obvious experience and knowledge she just sounds dumb and unintelligent. Everything she says sounds like an unsure question. I can think of many ladies that communicate better than her and commentating or journalism is certainly not her strength.

 

I have no idea what that woman is doing there, and I don’t think she does either.

 

Naomi Schiff is a very experienced driver and at least as competent of a broadcaster as Danica Patrick. In fact, in my opinion, she comes off as knowing much more about the topic than Danica does.

Everything seems forced with her. She doesn't elicit that comfort behind the mic like Natalie or even Naomi. Nico is another one whose voice is off putting.
