Colorado lost one of most prestigious Ferrari driver. Danny Collins died at age 75, we all will miss his presence at the track. He sure could still give a run for your money at vintage events...He was always ready to help any driver, a major help when I started my school. I will miss him, a big lost for all of us. Bye bye Danny Roland F40LM
Roland, sorry to hear about your loss... May he rest in peace. Be easy, my friend and enjoy the holiday in honor of your friend.
I have always thought God Speed was the kindest thing anyone could ever say in regards to a death. For some reason, considering the gentlemans love for ferraris, God Speed takes on a whole new meaning. God Speed. G
I always try to think of the passing from one realm as the arrival to another. The track is probably better there too. Godspeed.
Exactly, after he gets accomodated he will be happy and I'm sure he'll be back with us soon with a whole new body
Thats the great thing about reincarnation, you get a whole new body. I hope he's happy with his next one and has an even better time than he did last time
Sorry to hear about Mr. Collins-what a great guy. I remember a couple of memorable things about him-his remarks at Ron Hunter's funeral; and his restraint with me after we both went for the same hole at Second Creek at the start of a race and my Brabham got there first and he spun to keep from taking us both out--that's the kind of guy he was. RIP...
What for? To kick my ass again? His old body did that just fine!!!! I miss him already. I am sure he is looking down right now and influencing Ferrari as we speak/type.
