Who saw it? I had my midnight tickets. Absolutely loved it and can't wait until I see it again in a few weeks when the theatre is less crowded.

Loved it too. Was engaged through most of the movie. Definitely a very serious movie with jokes here and there to break up the tension. I think it was a great follow up to a movie that was hard to beat. Can't wait to see it again. Both Marian and Anne were gorgeous.

A little slow at the beginning but the overall plot was great. Theatre was half full @ 8 pm.

The movie was pretty much exactly like I thought it would be, alot of serious dialogue and tension and pretty much Nolan's vision of Batman instead of a comic book accurate depiction of him. A lot of themes from the movie where taken from the Batman: Knightfall Comic Book Storyline but so many things where added or removed that the end product did not make much sense. The movie was an interesting drama, but I would not see it more than twice. I still have a hard time getting over the fact that you have Bane in the movie but leave out the most interesting and essential fact about him, the Venom! While leaving the theater pretty much anyone that even had a basic knowledge of Bane complained about the version presented.

With all that said, the movie is a must see because of the Superman Trailer.......................They better not screw this one up!

I didn't mind the lack of Venom story line. As I've mulled the story line in my head for the past day I can't help but wonder how Nolan would have incorporated Jokers story into this movie. I have to wonder if they will do another one with the way they ended it.

Watched it today at the local Imax theatre. Pretty cool, kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I must say, though, I preferred the second film, with the Joker. I think they tried to cram too much stuff into this one.

Still better than most things that have come out this year...

As I commented on the last movie you saw thread, the only thing that really was distractiing was Bane's dialogue. Every word sounds like he is talking into a coffee can, and acting for Tom Hardy where he can only move his eyes must have been difficult.

I definitely liked Anne Hathaway as Catwoman more than I thought I would. And I also liked how they tied all three movies together using Liam Neeson and Cylian Murphy in their small roles. It reminded me more of Batman Begins than The Dark Knight, it is almost as though TDKR finishes the story of BB, and TDK is just a bit of a side story. Maybe Maggie Gylenhal could have reprised her Rachel role for a hallucination scene for Bruce Wayne, perhaps telling hikm to move on. They had everyone else still living do cameos...

They probably could have incorporated another actor as the Joker, just said he cut his face to ribbons in prison and that is why he looks a little different. But they didn't really need to as they already told that story, and I assume the Joker is rotting away in some insane asylum far from Gotham.

    SPOILERS
With any movie you can pick it apart as you think of individual points. One of these would be the special forces that infiltrated the city. If there was a real fusion bomb, Navy Seals would be in the city within hours if not days with Delta Force troops close behind. They and drones would identify the location of Bane and the three trucks at all times, and at some time when Bane is giving a speech in broad daylight he would get a missle up the a** while special forces would simultaneously sieze the three trucks.

That part was certainly hokey, to take an entire city of 12M people hostage is more than a bit preposterous. But for the story to work you have to turn off the logical part of your brain and suspend disbelief. Do this and it is highly enjoyable.

    THE ENDING
Honestly I could have done without the final scenes where Alfred looks across the cafe and Blake enters the Batcave. They could easily do a fourth movie, with the ending it almost seems the anticipation will be that they will do one. But from what Nolan has said I don't see it happening. Therefore, the more heroic ending would have been more appropriate IMO.

    END SPOILERS

I still think it is 9/10.

It was good. Watched it last weekend on an early bird.

**BEWARE SPOILER COMING read at your own risk :)

    ----

Only things I didn't like was how fast/slow the plot was moving around different parts.

Was also kind of captain obvious that the girl was a bad guy, and that to escape the prison he needed to go without a rope..

Generally - a good movie and fun to see in a movie theater for sure!

Finally caught it yesterday, I was impressed but the film ran longer than I expected.
