    Hi All,

I played a very funny practical joke on Ron Dennis at the Australian Grand Prix, and got a smile and laugh from the big man.

I slipped him a big red folder titled Ferrari F2008 Design Spec - Confidential - Property of Nigel Stepney.

I asked him to autograph it outside the pits as he was signing for fans at a spectator area. He thought it was very funny and liked my sense of humour. All of the F1 media was there and saw the exchange. I am sure it ended up on some of the Euro TV channels footage.

Later in the pits I had a photo taken with him by Sutton Images shaking Ron's hand. Search on www.sutton-images.com and search on Ron Dennis and F2008. Also had photos taken with Paul Stoddart who thought it was hilarious.

Glad the Ron saw the joke, as he had 100 million reasons not to laugh!

My kind of humor, thank you. Have you thought of running for office?

Wait, one second here, this isn't John H from Dayton is it? If yes, remember me, you slept on the floor of my motel room when you went racing in our past lifetime? Now you own a Lexus dealership.

    Yes? No?

    Hi guys,

I was the one in the pics. Glad that you liked the story and the photos. Very funny. Mark Sutton from Sutton images loved it so much he wrote about it in his race report:

    http://www.sutton-images.com/ll.asp?index=31

I got into the paddock because I'm a local, come every year and know the back entrances, and have an IQ above the level of 3, which is all that the security guards have...They are usually too busy eating donuts...

I figure that its my park for 51 weeks of the year, and for 1 week a year, I let Bernie use it... but on my terms...

My plan next year is to not even buy a ticket, because as I rode my mountain bike up to the gates, they just waved me through without checking credentials.... I spent the whole weekend walking around the back of the paddock, chatting to drivers and celebs, taking photos from the roof of the pits and attending the Red Bull official after party ...

I'll post some photos to my facebook if you are interested..

e-mail me to gk @ gkennedy DOT id DOT au ....

    Cheers
