I just saw a video (on Aviatorchat) of a geared, turbine powered 280ZX. Air intake at the base of the windshield with two 5" exhaust pipes poking out of the hood. He makes a bunch of "flybys" with it.

Yup! It works! The startup is cool. Make that 6" exhaust

 

Now I know why there is no flower in the bud vase. And you don't have to vacuum the interior much.
Glad to see sunroof is open, may be a little hard on the windshield gasket if it weren't.
Really should have left reversor on it as well, doubles fun with tailgaters.

you mean to tell me that thing is completely capable of utilitizing the full potential of that jet engine on a track?

 

Who said anything about a track? It's an exercise in engineering. A common use is straightline acceleration demos at drag strips.

So what exactly is Gay/Ghey about design and engineering?

 

why wouldnt you say anything about a strip? where else would you use a jet engine?

Jay Leno owns and drives a turbine powered motorcycle ON THE STREET in LA. So what if he can't use it to it's full potential there, THAT ISN'T THE POINT.

Obviously you don't understand the concept of what it is to "Hotrod" a vehicle, or in todays terms "Tune" one. It's a process of taking the mundane and making it better looking, better handling or faster or all three.

I'll repeat myself, It's an excersise in engineering.

Until you "get it" you would do well to refrain from insulting the activities of others when you don't understand the activities in the first place.
