Wow was that pilot lucky. Did he fly in between the lines? Looks like he flew under the top lines and just above the lower ones. Smart people did a U turn to get out of traffic like it's a daily occurrence. Neat site, check out the bulldozer that stops a suicide bomber and the idiot that totals the Land Rover.

Looks like an ideal candidate for the What did you do TODAY no one else here did? thread:
    - Flew an airplane through a mail slot, which got me an offer from Micheal Bay to appear in his next film.

As impressive as the flying was in that circumstance, what's most amazing is the lack of any real injury.

It's absolutely true. No one was hurt. He had 500 feet to figure out what he was going to do and chose a road that was to the right of his intended flight path because there was nothing but a lot of buildings directly ahead. He was in a near stall when he threaded through the wires and somehow missed hitting any cars. They all walked away from it.

Don't kid yourself; he never saw those wires.

I didn't mean to imply that he purposely flew between those wires. That airplane was coming down at minimum airspeed and minimum control and I'm sure that he was simply trying to get it on the road and between buildings. That road goes down to the turn-off to the Boeing Harbour Pointe facility and it can get pretty busy. They were totally lucky. I read also that the pilot was from Oregon and maybe not familiar with the area.
