Dash light and LED handbrake bulb

I gathered all the info to do the dash light upgrade on my new to me 308GTS but they seem really bright so maybe as previous owner has done me a favour and they have already been done. Every other 308/328 I've had have had very dull dash lights. Some I'm super stocked that's one less job to do! Are these still available on F Chat?

 

Someone on FChat was selling an led handbrake light with the correct color a few years ago.

 

I was one of his customers. Still have it.

The handbrake bulb is a standard size bulb. The problem is that bulbs tinted green are not readily available.

A standard white bulb can be tinted using green acrylic varnish.

I describe how I used the varnish to tint the tachometer LEDs to match the rest of the instrument lights in the following thread. The same process can be used for the handbrake bulb:

Cool thanks. I have the green LED bulb that someone on here made a few years ago. Just wondered if they were still doing them so I could get a spare. I’ll have to search my posts to find out who it was. Works brilliantly (no pun intended).
