One of the Dash ligth came loose. Anybody knows how they hold in place and/or how to remove the Dash Cluster? Also how to remove the polished door sil Trim on a 328?
IIRC, the screws that hold the cluster in place are accessed from underneath the dash (straight up from the bottom). The little circular lights are held in place with small plastic tabs that are integral to the light itself. Sometimes these break off or don't stick out enough to engage the edge of the instrument cluster. You can replace the light or an easy short term fix to hold the light in place is to wrap a small strip of electrical tape around the light. This effectively increases the diameter of the light fixture and will make it fit snugly into the hole in the instrument cluster. Depending on the year of your car, you will either have markings on the lights or not. The replacement lights w/o markings can be difficult to find sometimes. When I was looking last year, Daniel had the replacement lights w/ markings at Ricambi. But for the lights w/o markings I had to go to GT Car Parts. Good Luck, and Merry Christmas!!
There's lots of threads on this (dash lights) You'll also find one member here from Canada who fabricates just the shell (which is the part that breaks) at a very reasonable price. I bought two sets & swap the colored lens as needed. If you can't find him via search, I'll check my bills.
