Hello all, I have 00740 - an L series from 1970 which is undergoing a full restoration. We are close but I have a doubt on the dash material. I have heard different versions. 1) the dash for the L was different from the later series (if so how?) and 2) there was no difference and the material was the "Alacantara" that you can find on Dinoparts.de:

    What is correct?
Also, was leather an option on these cars
    thanks!

be carefull with leather as it reflects in the windsheild. the car has mouse hair originally, and it is different than the current mousehair on the market that is said to be correct.

true it is "flocked" dino style vinyl, but it is a blue black color and not a charcoal color. the ads always state it is color fast and will not fade, to me that is the reason not to buy it. if you have a black interior, especially if you are only partially redoing you interior , it will look like the turd.

don't hesitate about the car, just be realistic in your offer

I restored my "L" series Dino almost 10 years ago now but the mousehair I bought back then (from Dennis McCann) looked exactly like the original material (although was apparently more fade resistant).

How does the mousehair that Dennis (and others) sell these days differ?

it is blue/purple hue and looks terrible, especially with a black interior car

what dennis used to have was basic dino vinyl that he had flocked himself, the new stuff is produced with the flocking
